2021 CBSE exams to be held over a great duration of 39 days

2021 CBSE exams will be conducted from May 4 to June 10 for a period of 39 days.

The previous year, CBSE board exams were conducted for a duration spread across 45 days, however, 2021 CBSE exams will be conducted over 39 days.

2021 CBSE examsThe entire 2021 CBSE exams for classes 10th and 12th will happen in 39 days which is six days lesser compared to the previous year.

The 2021 CBSE exams are expected to have 33 percent internal choice questions. Also the syllabus has been reduced by 30 percent owing to the COVID-19 situation.

2021 CBSE exams for 10th and 12th classes is said to have received about 34 lakh applications.

The number of students attending the exam seems to be no less this year too, and authorities say, the exams will be conducted following safety guidelines owing to COVID-19 situation.

The date sheet
The date sheet for 2021-CBSE exams for 10th and 12th standards was also released recently.

The date sheet contains timing and dates for conducting exams of each subject of 10th and 12th standards.

2021 CBSE exams for 10th standard will start from 4 May with language papers Odia, Kannada and Lepcha.

The last exam for 10th standard is on 7 June and the subject is Computer Applications.

LPU College admission

2021 CBSE exams for 12th classes will begin from 4 May with language papers English Elective and English Core.

The last exam for 12th standard will be on 11 June and exam subjects on that day are Entrepreneurship, Biotechnology, Library and Info Science, Beauty and Wellness and Agriculture.

2021 CBSE exams for 12th standards will be held in two shifts – morning and afternoon.

Morning shift will be from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and afternoon shift timing is 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

2021 CBSE exams for 10th standard will be held in morning shift, timings for certain papers is 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and for couple of others it is 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Time availability
2021 CBSE exams date sheet has been released in February this year, sources say, the datesheet has been brought out early to help students prepare well for exams.

The early release of exam schedule will enable students to chalk out their study plan, say sources.

The questions
Application based questions were included in CBSE board exams previous year, sources say the 2021 CBSE exams will have more such application based questions.

The number of such questions will be increased by 10 percent every year in CBSE board exams for 10th and 12th standards in a phased manner.

Sources say this measure is being done keeping in view the suggestion of New Education Policy which suggests making board exams low-stake.

What are these application based questions? They are nothing but case study based questions.

Students have to read a paragraph as a part of these case study based questions and answer questions related to that paragraph.

Students will be analysed based on their reading, understanding, interpretation and answer writing abilities.

2021 CBSE exams for class 10 will have exams for 75 subjects and the same for class 12 are going to have 111 subjects.

While there is lot of speculation over 2021 CBSE exams among the students and parents, authorities concerned say they are taking all measures to ensure exams are conducted in a smooth manner.

2021 CBSE examsPoint to remember
Candidates attending 2021 CBSE exams for 10th standard must remember that answer sheets will be distributed to candidates between 10 am to 10:15 am on the exam days.

Students can begin writing by 10:30 am after they have read the question paper and confirmed presence of no errors on it.

If they notice any errors on the question papers, students must take it to notice of invigilators in charge of their exam room and get a new question paper.

For 2021 CBSE exams for 12th standard, candidates will be given answer sheets and question papers by 10:15 am in the morning and 2:15 pm in the afternoon.

2021 CBSE exams result for both 10th standard and 12th standard will be declared on 15 July. The practical exams will be held from 1 March onwards.
