AEEE 2026: Applications Open, Check Important Dates & Other Details

The engineering entrance exam for BTech admission to Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham campuses is known as the Amrita Entrance Exam – Engineering (AEEE 2026). AEEE 2026 registration has been released on November 04, 2025. Candidates who completed class 12 in 2025 and will complete it in 2026 are eligible to apply for AEEE 2026.
The AEEE 2026 exam will be administered twice: Phase 1 on January 31st – February 1st, 2026 and Phase 2 in May 2026. The AEEE 2026 application form for both phases of the exam will be available simultaneously at amrita.edu. However, the application deadlines for both phases will vary.

What is AEEE?
The AEEE is the entrance test for admission to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University)’s 21 unique BTech programs across its eight campuses.
Amrita campuses accept AEEE and JEE Main results for BTech admissions at eight of their campuses: Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil, and Haridwar. 70% of BTech seats would be filled using AEEE scores, while 30% will be filled using JEE Main.
- Candidates who have completed Class 12 with PCM can apply for the AEEE exam.
- The AEEE exam is solely administered in a computer-based manner at several test centres across the country.
- AEEE is held twice per year. Candidates have the option to participate in any phase.
- The AEEE test consists of a single paper with 100 questions. There are 30 questions from Physics, 25 from Chemistry, 40 from Math, and 5 from English. The exam lasts two hours and thirty minutes.
- Marking scheme: Each question is worth three points, and any incorrect answers result in a one-point deduction.
- The syllabus is based on the CBSE PCM syllabus for classes 11 and 12 (equivalent to JEE Main).
- Application Process: Candidates can register for the AEEE exam online at amrita.edu and choose their preferred date and time.

AEEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates wishing to apply for AEEE 2026 should review the eligibility requirements listed below:
- Educational Requirements: The candidate must complete the Class 12 board exam or an equivalent test from a recognised board.
- Year of passing class 12: Candidates who will complete their class 12 boards in 2026, as well as those who passed in 2025, are eligible to apply.
- Minimum marks in class 12: 60% combined in Math, Physics, and Chemistry. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of 55% in each of the three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Age: Candidates born on or after July 1, 2005 and up to June 30, 2010, are eligible to apply for AEEE 2026.
AEEE 2026 Application Form Process
Candidates can apply for AEEE 2026 online on the official website, amrita.edu. The application form must be submitted as per the deadline for each phase. The candidates are advised to have their own personal and valid email ID and mobile number. Candidates are advised to retain the registered mobile number and email they have submitted in the application form till all the admission procedures are completed, as all important updates will be informed to the candidates through SMS/e-mail or both.
