Orientation programme held at Amaravati SRM University familiarised the freshers with various nuances of the educational institution during the welcome ceremony.

Upon invocating the blessings of the almighty by a prayer, the occasion commenced with an address by Dr P Sathyanarayanan, Founder, President and Chairman.

He highlighted his vision of learning beyond the classroom fostering wisdom and knowledge of the students through a holistic interdisciplinary approach.

Vice chancellor of Amaravati SRM University Professor V.S. Rao spoke about the importance of research. He said research should be seamlessly integrated with academic boundaries.

He also inspired students to realize the excitement of science, joy in engineering, and academic rigour.

Professor D. Narayana Rao, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Amaravati SRM University emphasized on the contribution of science and technology.

The progress in science and technology got India a position among top nations of the world. Further, he assured quality education to motivate students and urged them to contribute to the development of the nation.

The orientation programme will go on for a duration of two weeks at Amaravati SRM University and host of eminent personalities will conduct motivational lectures for freshers.

Former secretary to Government of Andhra Pradesh Jaya Prakash Narayan, Chancellor of JIO University and former Director General of CSIR Dr. R.A. Mashelkar and Chairman emeritus of Shantha Biotech Dr. K. Varaprasad Reddy are among the eminent personalities who will be addressing the students at Amaravati SRM University.
