Students interested in studying management courses in institutions affiliated to AICTE.

The process of registration started on 29 March 2024 and CMAT 2024 application submission can be done till 9:50 PM on 18 April.

The registration fee in connection with CMAT 2024 Application can be paid till 11:50 PM on 18 April 2024. Corrections in the applications submitted can be done from 19 to 21 April 2024.

Dates for release of city intimation slip, admit card and conducting the exam will be intimated later on the official website. There is more to it than meets the eye.

Registration Fee for CMAT 2024

Male applicants from General category will pay Rs 2000 while submitting CMAT 2024 Application. The female applicants from the same category will pay Rs 1000.

Female and male applicants from EWS/SC/ST/PwD /OBC-(NCL) will pay Rs 1000 as registration fee while submitting CMAT 2024 Application. The fee for third gender applicants is also Rs 1000.

What is CMAT 2024?

The full name of the exam is Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and is a national level entrance examination for admission to management programmes in the country.

This Test facilitates AICTE affiliated participating institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the management courses in their institutions.

Duration to answer the questions is three hours or 180 minutes and the test will be conducted in computer based mode, where the answers to the questions have to be recorded on a computer screen at the test center.

Who can submit CMAT 2024 Application?

Candidates who have completed their graduation in any discipline can submit CMAT 2024 Application.

Even those who have appeared for the final exams of their qualifying degree and are waiting for the results or those who are about to appear for final exams of their qualifying degree can also submit CMAT 2024 Application.

However, these people have to pass the exam and provide a proof for it by the time the admission process commences.

How to submit CMAT 2024 Application?

The process to submit CMAT 2024 Application is online and the registration has to be done on the official website ‘https://exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/’

1. The URL mentioned above must be typed into the computer browser and submitted to allow the website to download.

2. Once the webpage is ready, candidates can click the button Click Here to Registration/Login

3. Clicking the above button will open another webpage with URL ‘https://cmat.ntaonline.in/frontend/web/’

4. Once the webpage with above URL opens, candidates have to click the button New Candidate Register Here

5. Clicking the above button will yield a form and applicants have to fill that and register to create an account.

6. After creating an account, applicants can login and then start filling CMAT 2024 Application form.

How to download the hall ticket?

The process of downloading the admit card or the hall ticket is also online. The entrance exam ticket can be downloaded on the official website ‘https://exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/’

1. The URL mentioned above must be typed into the browser and then submitted to allow the website to download.

2. After the website is ready, candidates can click the link for hall ticket and then enter their application number and other required details and submit them.

3. After submitting the required details, exam ticket may be visible on another window. It has to be downloaded and a printout has to be taken.

Point to remember

Only those who have successfully completed their CMAT 2024 Application submission process can download the admit card. The link for downloading admit card will be made active at the appropriate time.

Post the link for admit card is made active, the hall tickets can be downloaded.

What happens after the exam?

Those who have submitted CMAT 2024 application and obtained the admit card can appear for the exam. Students have to pass CMAT with the required qualifying marks.

The required qualifying marks also known as cutoff score is the minimum marks candidates have to earn.

These are the minimum marks required to be scored to be eligible for next phase of admission.

Marks of the candidates in the exam must either be greater than the cutoff score or equal to it.

Those who have the required qualifying marks in the test can apply for the further process.

The process further involves counselling. Students must remember that National Testing Agency (NTA) only conducts CMAT. It has no role in the admission process.

Candidates who have passed CMAT can visit the websites of the participating institutions and the apply for admission separately.

They have to submit the CMAT scores while applying for admission. Those who get a seat can pay the fees and then join the classes.
