CSIR UGC NET 2024 Exam from 25 to 27 July 2024, New Dates Are Announced
CSIR UGC NET 2024 Exam will be conducted from 25 to 27 July 2024 at various centers across India.
The new dates are announced. The exam was actually supposed to be conducted from 25 to 27 June 2024.
The exam was cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances and due to logistic issues.
A notification was also released mentioning the reason behind postponement of the exam on the official website.
National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the exam on the new day. CSIR UGC NET 2024 Exam was open for registration till 27 May 2024.
CSIR UGC NET 2024 Exam application submission started on 1 May 2024. Its earlier last date was 21 May 2024, but was later extended to 27 May 2024.
The postponed exam was the June cycle. There is more to it than meets the eye as far as CSIR UGC NET 2024 Exam.
National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the exam as per the newly specified schedule.
Registration
This aspect is not clear as to whether fresh application submission will be started for CSIR UGC NET 2024 Exam or not. There may not be fresh registration in this regard.
However, candidates may have to download fresh admit cards for the exam. The new hall tickets will have details about the fresh exam date and time along with test center details.
It is to note that those who have submitted CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam application, could take up corrections in their applications from 29 to 31 May 2024.
It is a national-level exam conducted two times a year and is for candidates who wish to take up research (Junior Research Fellowship) in science subjects.
Those desiring to become assistant professors (job of lectureship) in science subjects can also apply.
The exam is conducted online and answers have to be registered on a computer screen at the designated test centers which will be located across India.
The questions are from the subjects – Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.
Format of the questions is multiple-choice where each question has more than one reply and the right one among that has to be chosen to get marks.
Who can submit CSIR UGC NET 2024 Exam Application?
The eligibility to submit CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam application is a pass in MSc or equivalent degree integrated BS-MS, BS-4years, BE, B.Tech, B.Pharma and MBBS.
Those desiring to submit CSIR UGC NET 2024 application must have a minimum pass marks or 55% in their qualifying exam if they are from General(UR)/General-EWS category applicants.
Same for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST category candidates is 50%. Candidates who have studied B.Sc. (Hons.) or equivalent or are enrolled in an integrated MS-PhD program can also take up CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam application submission.
How to download admit card?
The process to download admit card for the exam is online and candidates have to come to the official website of the CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam to obtain it. The process to do that is mentioned below:
1. The official website URL ‘https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/’ has to be typed into the browser and submitted to allow the website to download.
2. Once the website is ready, candidates have to click the link for admit card or hall ticket.
3. Clicking the link will open another webpage , once that opens, candidates have to type their application number and other details and submit them to view the admit card.
4. Once the admit card is visible, candidates have to download it and then take a print out of it.
The dates for downloading admit card will be informed in due course. The applicants must appear for the exam at the test center chosen by them.
Those who pass the test with the required qualifying marks can apply for JRF or Assistant Professorship.
