About DRDO

DRDO stands for Defence Research and Development Organisation. DRDO was formed in 1958. It is one of the premier agencies of India under the under the Department of Defence Research and Development in Ministry of Defence of the Government of India.

This department is associated with the military’s research and development. The organisation has its headquarters in Delhi. The Technical Development Establishment got amalgamated with the Directorate of Technical Development and Production of the Indian Ordnance Factories with the Defence Science Organisation.

At the time of establishment, DRDO was a very small organisation that only had 10 establishments. But, the growth of DRDO over the years have been tremendous and they have become multi directional. 

Presently, they have over 50 laboratories that help in developing defence technologies in various fields like armaments, electronics, aeronautics, combat vehicles, engineering systems, missiles, advanced computing and simulation, naval systems, information systems and agriculture. 

The mission with which DRDO has been established is to make Indian self reliant by producing critical defence technologies and systems. Their aim is to equip our armed forces with the state-of-the-art weapons and equipments.

DRDO Recruitment 2021

The centre of artificial intelligence and Robotics, DRDO has released 34 posts for hiring candidates in the apprentice department. They have rolled out applications for the apprentice post. The application is released on the official website of DRDO which is drdo.gov.in. Application process is very smooth once you land on the website.

Everything must be there on the careers page. The interested candidates can fill out the application form on their official website. There are 34 posts rolled out for the same. 

While filling the application form, the candidates will have to upload the self attested copies of all the required documents. It is very important to fill the information in the application form correctly.

• Technician (Diploma) Apprenticeship Trainee: 1 Post  
• Graduate Apprenticeship Trainees: 33 Posts

Dates 

The last date to fill the DRDO recruitment application form is till December 10, 2021. On selection, training will be given to the selected candidates. The Graduate/ Diploma Apprenticeship training period for the selection candidates will be for one year.

The registration process for the DRDO recruitment 2021 will start from 1st November and would run until 15th November, 2021. The candidates will have around 15 days to complete the registration process for this job.

If you do not qualify the requirements, filling the form will just be a waste of time for you. You will not be shortlisted if you do not meet the requirements strictly. 

DRDO Recruitment 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for these positions, the candidates must ensure that they meet the required requirements for the positions. 

Technician Apprentice Trainee – The candidates who wish to apply for this position must have a diploma in engineering or technology. The diploma certificate must be approved under a recognised body.

Graduate Apprenticeship Trainee – For the candidates who are interested in this position must a degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory university or basically any recognised board. 

Selection Process of DRDO Recruitment 2021

The selection process of the candidates in DRDO’s trainee programmes is done on the basis of the qualifying exams. The candidates who score better marks will secure the job position. All the shortlisted candidate’s details will be updated on the official website of DRDO. For all the updates, the candidates must check the website regularly. The shortlisted candidates will be sent an email as well. An official letter will be given to the shortlisted candidates. Once the candidates are shortlisted, they will have to undergo the training programme about which we mentioned above.
