Registration started on 28 April 2025 onwards, candidates have begun submitting applications.


National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducts the exam and purpose is to evaluate the competency of medical graduates who have been trained in foreign nations.
FMGE 2025 Exam
The full name is Foreign Medical Graduate Examination and is popularly known with its shorter name FMGE. It is conducted twice every year – June and December.
The test is conducted in computer based mode, also known as online mode where questions have to answered on a computer screen at the test center.

Total number of question in the exam are 300 and they are in multiple choice format where each question has more than one reply options and right one among that has to be chosen to score marks.
Exam has two sections – Part A and Part B and each of them has 150 questions. Duration to answer questions is 150 minutes for each section.
Candidates who pass FMGE 2025 have to undergo one year mandatory rotatory internship in India, post completion, they can obtain permanent registration with NMC or State Medical Councils.

FMGE 2025 application submission schedule
FMGE 2025 application submission started on 28 April 2025 and will remain open till 17 May 2025 (till 11:55 PM).
Those who have successfully paid their registration fees can edit their application from 22 to 24 May 2025, as per FMGE 2025 application submission schedule.
Edit window to help rectify defective images of photographs, signatures, thumb impression will remain open from 6 to 9 June 2025.
Final opportunity to rectify deficiencies related to documents uploading will be provided on 10 July 2025.

As per the FMGE 2025 Application submission schedule, test city information will be provided to the applicants by 10 July 2025.
Admit cards will be issued from 22 July 2025 onwards, exam will be conducted on 26 July 2025, result will be released on 26 August 2025.

Applicant must have a primary medical qualification which is confirmed by Indian Embassy concerned, to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as medical practitioner in the country in where the candidate has studied medicine.
Applicants must also be a citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), as per FMGE 2025 application submission eligibility criteria.
The applicants must also have passed their qualifying degree, result of the final exam proving the fact that applicant has passed the exam must also be declared.

5. When above webpage opens, register and create an account.
6. Login with help of account and commence FMGE 2025 Application submission process.
7. Fill the form, pay the registration fees and submit the form.
8. Obtain the successful submission confirmation message and download it and take a printout.

Examination fee stands at Rs 5,250 and GST stands at 945, the total amount to be paid is Rs 6,195.
