FTII SRFTI JET 2021 registration has commenced and last date to apply is December 2. Individuals who are looking for a career in the fields of film and television can apply for this exam.

Applicants can choose three centres (cities) to write the test while filling the application form for FTII SRFTI JET 2021. One among the preferred test centres would be allotted after the last date to submit applications is over.

About FTII SRFTI JET 2021
The exam is expanded into Film and Television Institute of India, Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute Joint Entrance Test. Candidates who wish to study courses offered by these two institutes have to pass this exam.

This entrance exam is the first stage in the selection process. FTII SRFTI JET 2021 will be conducted in 26 cities across India.

FTII
Film and Television Institute of India is located in Pune of Maharashtra and was established in 1960. It was established as Film Institute of India on the premises of erstwhile Prahat Studio.

The television training unit which was located in Delhi was shifted to Pune in 1970s. As both film and television units were located under the same roof the institute got its new name Film and Television Institute of India.

FTII functions as an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of Government of India and is registered under Societies’ Registration Act of 1860.

FTII offers courses in Film and Television wing and to get admission into this the candidates have to pass FTII SRFTI JET 2021 exam.

SRFTI
Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute is located in Kolkata and is an autonomous institute under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of Government of India.

The institute is popularly known as SRFTI and is named after the legendary maestro Satyajit Ray. This was the second national centre of cinema education established in 1995.

The organisation was subsequently registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961. The first session began on September 1 1996.

The courses
There are about 12 courses offered by SRFTI and students willing to study them must pass FTII SRFTI JET 2021. The courses are given below:

The eligibility
Candidates willing to apply for FTII SRFTI JET 2021 must have passed a bachelors degree in any discipline.

However, candidates who are focused on ‘Art Direction and Production Design’ course at FTII must have passed bachelors degree in applied arts, architecture, painting, sculpture, interior design or related fields in fine arts or its equivalent.

Exam pattern
The question paper in FTII SRFTI JET 2021 is divided into three parts – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1 will have Part A, Part B. The maximum marks are 100. Part A will have multiple choice questions (MCQs).

Part B of the question paper in FTII SRFTII JET 2021 will have multiple select questions (MSQs) and Paper 2 will have questions for which answers must be provided in descriptive format.

Multiple Select Questions in FTII SRFTI JET 2021 are those questions that would have more than one correct reply in the options provided below the question. Candidates have to choose all the correct replies.

Multiple Choice Questions (Part A) of FTII SRFTI JET 2021 will be common to all specialisations. Part B will have questions related to the specialisations.

The answers for MCQs and MSQs in FTII SRFTI JET 2021 will have to be answered (marked) on OMR sheets.

How to apply for FTII SRFTI JET 2021

The procedure to apply for FTII SRFTI JET 2021 is online. Individuals willing to apply must visit the official website ‘https://applyjet2021.in/’

Soon after the webpage downloads, candidates can click ‘Register (New Candidate) button located on the right side of the webpage and start registration to obtain username and password.

Post completing registration and obtaining username and password, applicants have to login using them and start applying for FTII SRFTI JET 2021.

Required information has to be provided, documents have to be uploaded and registration fee has to be paid and then application form should be submitted.

Point to remember
Candidates while applying for FTII SRFTI JET 2021 have to remember that they can maximum apply for one course from the above mentioned three groups (Group A, Group B and Group C).

Registration fees
The registration fee for FTII SRFTI JET 2021 depends on the number of courses candidate chooses to apply from the three above mentioned groups.

Applicants choosing anyone course from the three groups have to pay Rs 2000. The same for candidates of SC/ST/PWD categories is Rs 600.

If applicants apply for two courses (one course each from any of the two groups mentioned earlier) while filling the form for FTII SRFTI JET, the fees is Rs 3000. The same for candidates of SC/ST/PWD categories is Rs 900.

For those who apply for three courses (one from each group) the registration fee is Rs 4000. The same for candidates of SC/ST/PWD categories is Rs 1200.

Point to remember
Applicants who apply for courses offered by both the institutes have to pay registration fee only once while applying for FTII SRFTI JET 2021. They would be considered for admission to both the institutes.

Important dates
The registration for FTII SRFTI JET 2021 began on 3 November this year. The last date to submit application is 11 pm of 2 December. The admit card for the exam will be released on 8 December.

FTII SRFTI JET 2021 would be conducted on 18 December from 2 pm to 5 pm for courses offered in Group A. The exam for subjects under Group B will happen on 19 December from 9 am to 12 pm.

The test for courses in Group C will take place on 19 December from 2 pm to 5 pm.
