GAT B 2025 registration is on till 3 March 2025 at ‘https://exams.nta.ac.in/DBT/’
Application submission started on 3 February 2025. It is for those who wish to pursue post graduation in biotechnology and its allied areas.


Students passing the exam can secure seats in the courses mentioned above in the participating institutions in the exam.
About the exam
Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology or GAT – B or GAT B is a national level test conducted by National Testing Agency on behalf of Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
The test is conducted once every year and is a computer based test where questions in the exam have to be answered on a computer screen at the designated test center.

The test has two sections – Section A and Section B. Section A has 60 questions and Section B has 100 questions.
Each question in Section A has 1 mark and the same in Section B is 3 marks. The total marks are 240. Each wrong answer in Section A will lose 0.5 mark, the same for Section C is 1 mark.
Who can take up GAT B 2025 registration?
Candidates willing to take up GAT B 2025 registration must have passed graduation in biology, physical sciences, veterinary sciences, fishery sciences, agriculture, pharmacy, engineering.

Those who have passed BSc Physician Assistance Course, MBBS or BDS can also take up GAT B 2025 registration. Applicants must have passed their qualifying exam with a minimum of 60%.
Those from the reserved categories have to pass their qualifying exam with 55% pass marks at the minimum.
Even candidates who have appeared for the final exams for their qualifying degree and are waiting for the results can also take up GAT B 2025 registration.
Individuals who are about to appear for their final degree exams can also apply. However these applicants have to pass the exam and provide the proof for it by the time the admission process starts.

Schedule
GAT B 2025 registration is on from 3 February to 3 March 2025. Applications can be submitted till 11:50 PM on 3 March 2025.
Corrections in the application form can be done from 5 to 6 March 2025. Examination will be conducted on 20 April 2025.
Registration fee
Candidates from General/UR/OBC-NCL/EWS categories have to pay Rs 1300 as fee while taking up GAT B 2025 registration.
SC/ST/PwD category applicants have to pay Rs 650 while taking up GAT B 2025 registration.

1. Candidates have to type the URL mentioned above in the browser and submit to allow the website to download.
2. Once the website is ready, applicants have to click INFORMATION menu and choose Information Bulletin: GAT-B 2025 to get all information about the exam.
3. After reading the information bulletin, candidates have to click GAT-B 2025: Click Here to Register/Login
4. Clicking above button opens another webpage ‘https://dbt2025.ntaonline.in/‘
5. When the webpage with above URL opens, applicants have to click New Candidate Register Here to register and create credentials (user name and password).
6. Candidates can come back to the webpage ‘https://dbt2025.ntaonline.in/’ and click Login to enter and start filling the application form.
7. The applicants have to pay the registration fee and submit the application form.
After registration
A. Admit Card
Candidates who have successfully completed their GAT B 2025 registration alone can download the admit card. Process is mentioned below:
1. Type the URL for the official website (https://exams.nta.ac.in/DBT/) in the browser and submit it.
2. Once the website is ready, click the link for admit card.
3. Another webpage will open, where the details like application number have to be entered and submitted to view the admit card.
4. Once the admit card is visible, candidates can download it and take a printout.

Those who pass the exam can apply for counselling in the participating institutions where they can choose the course to study.
Candidates who get the seat can accept the offer and then pay the fees and join the institution for classes.
Selection will be done based on performance in the entrance exam, qualifying degree, availability of seats and choice of the course by candidates.
