IIT Madras BS Data Science Application Registrations 2024

Applications for the BS in Data Science Applications are being accepted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras through May 26 at study.iitm.ac.in/ds, the official website. On July 7, the entrance exam will take place. More than 27,000 students from all around the nation are enrolled in the programme, according to IIT Madras.

Online instruction is provided, and exams are administered in person at 150 locations. In 2020, the Bachelor of Science degree in Data Science and Applications was introduced, allowing students to attend IIT Madras without taking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

According to IIT Madras, almost 2,500 alumni of the curriculum have been hired or promoted within the past four years. Over 850 students have been accepted into master’s and doctoral programmes at various universities, including Aalto University, Cornell University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and others.

Tuition is waived for male and female students whose families make less than Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh annually, respectively. The cost waiver is being provided by businesses like Verizon, Renault Nissan, HSBC, Tata AIA, Sutherland, LTTS, L&T Thales, Dun & Bradstreet, Walmart, and others as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) support. Over 3,645 students have benefited from these services, enabling them to concentrate solely on their studies and not let monetary concerns hold them back,” IIT Madras said.

The world’s first 4-year Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Data Science and Applications is offered by India’s premier technical university, IIT Madras. Students have the option to depart the programme earlier at the foundation, diploma, or IIT Madras BS Data Science degree levels. For the first time, regardless of your age, region, or academic experience, you can work towards an undergraduate degree or diploma from an IIT.

The registration for the IIT Madras BS Data Science Application program is open to all, with no age limits. Anyone who has completed class 12 can apply for the program.
