MOP Vaishnav College For Women honors great achievers

MOP Vaishnav College For Women organized the seventh edition of MOP Yuva Samman Awards on 24 February 2025.
Young women received the award in recognition of their achievements.


Entrepreneurship – Ms. Tanishaa Bhansali, a pioneering Instagram Coach and consultant, for her transformative impact in digital branding and business strategy.
Sports – Ms. Thulasimathi Murugesan, Arjuna Awardee and Paris Paralympics Silver Medalist (Para-Badminton), for her excellence in sports and unparalleled resilience on the global stage.
Performing Arts – Kalai Ilamani Ms. S. Sruuthi, a prodigious multifaceted performer, being celebrated for her artistic brilliance and contribution to cultural heritage.

Special Recognition – Dr. CA. CMA. CS. Divya Abhishek, Chairperson, FICCI FLO Chennai and Chairperson, (SIRC of ICMAI) (2023-24), being honored for her visionary leadership in finance, business, and women’s empowerment.

The Yuva Sammaan awardees were carefully selected from over 50 entries received from young women achievers across the country, say sources from MOP Vaishnav College For Women.

The final awardees were chosen through a rigorous evaluation process by a distinguished jury.
The jury comprised Ms. Lakshmi Menon, CEO, The New Indian Express, Ms. Vidya Subramanian, founder, Vidya Subramanian Academ, Mr. Sorav Jain, founder, EchoVME and Mr. K Keerthivasan, deputy editor, sports, the
Hindu.
Chief guest
Member of Parliament Dr. Thamizhachi Thangapandian gave away the awards. She praised the intent of women’s empowerment behind the initiative.
She cited the State government’s policies that were also instituted with the same goal. These are not just policies, she said.
They are commitments to young women in the State — that her dreams are valid, her ambitions are supported, and her success is inevitable, she said.

Dewan Bahadur M O Parthasarathy Aiyengar a leading barrister, visionary philanthropist of yester years was an advocate of women’s education.
Sri Vallabhacharya Vidya Sabha, the prominent managing body of D.G. Vaishnav College, in its Silver Jubliee Year in association with Deewan Bahadur M O Parthasarathy Aiyengar Charities established this women’s college in 1992.
This college is a dream realization, the result of the determination and sustained efforts of the two trusts.
