National Girl Child Day: Giving Indian Girls a Chance at a Better Future

The annual National Girl Child Day on January 24 highlights the significance of promoting girls’ rights and opportunities in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this day in 2015 as part of the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Scheme to increase awareness of gender inequality and combat child marriage, discrimination, and violence against girls.

This important day should promote females’ educational empowerment via scholarships and programmes. This article examines five scholarships that are helping Indian females achieve their educational goals and improve the nation’s future.
