PhD Entrance Test 2023 admit card is now available for download. Candidates can download it at ‘https://phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in/’

This is for those who have applied for PhD admissions in Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU).

It is to note that PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration began on 9 August 2023. The last date was 15 September initially, that was extended to 22 September 2023.

Students who have successfully completed their PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration will be able to download the hall ticket from the official website mentioned above.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the PhD Entrance Test 2023 on 26, 27, 30 and 31 October 2023 in the computer-based mode.

Admit card can be likely downloaded till the day of the exam starting from 21 October 2023. The process to obtain admit card is online, no candidate will receive the hall ticket by post.

The admit card for PhD Entrance Test 2023 has to be obtained from the official website mentioned above. The hall ticket has to be produced by the candidates at the test center.

Schedule

Students were able to take up PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration till 9 PM on 22 September 2023. The fee payment could be done till 11:50 PM on 22 September 2023.

PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration was open from 9 August to 15 September 2023 as per earlier schedule.

The correction in forms submitted could be taken up from 16 to 17 September 2023 as per the former schedule.

Later, applicants could take up corrections from 23 to 24 September 2023 as per the changed schedule.

Who could take up PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration?

Students willing to take up PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration must have passed postgraduation in the relevant discipline from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India.

The qualifying degree must be related to the subject in which the applicants are desiring to pursue a doctorate. For certain courses, candidates from allied disciplines can also apply.

Information about the qualification required to apply for each subject can be obtained from the information bulletin which is available on the official website.

Candidates must also visit the websites of the participating institutions to know more about the eligibility criteria.

Each institution may set their own eligibility conditions, candidates can know them from their respective official websites.

Registration fee

Applicants from General category had to pay Rs 1200 for one test paper and Rs 800 for every additional test paper they wish to apply as PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration fee.

The same for OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS category applicants was Rs 1100 for one test paper and Rs 700 for every additional test paper.

PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration fee is Rs 1000 for one test paper and Rs 700 for every additional test paper for SC/ST/Third Gender/PwBD category applicants.

2. Once the website is available, they have to click the link Login button under Candidate Activity Menu

3. Clicking the above button will lead to another webpage with URL ‘https://phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in/index.php/site/login’

4. Candidates have to scroll down the webpage with above URL and then click the button Click Here to Download Admit Card

5. Clicking the above button will open another webpage with the URL ‘https://phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in/index.php/app/download/index’

6. Once the webpage with above URL opens, they can enter their application number, date of birth and security pin and submit them to obtain the hall ticket.

Point to remember

The dates for conducting the exam and prior hall ticket downloading are announced.

Candidates who have completed their PhD Entrance Exam 2023 registration successfully will alone be able to download the admit card.

The exam will be conducted in online mode for a duration of three hours. Students have to pass the exam with the required qualifying marks to be eligible to apply for doctorate admissions.

Process to apply for admission will be a separate one and students have to apply for it individually with each of the participating institutions after the announcement of results.

Candidates have to likely choose the institution in which they wish to study doctorate while taking up PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration.
