SRM University AP was centre of attraction recently when it signed MoU with IICT of Hyderabad. India Institute of Chemical Technology located at Hyderabad and SRM University AP signed the Memorandum-of-Understanding with a purpose of collaborating in connection with frontline areas of science and technology.

Dr. S. Chandrasekhar, director of IICT Hyderabad and Professor D. Narayana Rao, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of SRM University AP signed MoU on behalf of both the organisations on 18 November.

Front-line research and extensive exchange of scientific insights in the fields of emerging Science and Technology between IICT Hyderabad and SRM University AP will be the main focus of the MoU.

According to the MoU, in addition to teaching, research and training in selected fields will also be provided to scientists and PhD scholars. Dr Chandrasekhar and Professor D Narayana Rao discussed the setting up of the Atal Innovation Center and Analytical Center at SRM University AP soon.

Dr Shailaja, Dr M. Chandrasekharam, Dr Pratima Mayankar of CSIR-IICT, Dr Anil Suresh and Dr S. Mannathan of SRM University AP were also present on the occasion.

Childrens Day
SRM University AP turned centre of attraction when it celebrated Children’s Day. The celebrations were held at Neerukonda and Navuluru Government Schools under the auspices of Student Affairs Department of SRM University AP.

The programme named SRM Sunshine, organised various games and competitions for students from classes one to ten and distributed prizes to winners. The essay writing, drawing, running, skipping and musical chair competitions focused on children and their enjoyment contributing to their cognitive development.

Students of SRM AP mingled with the children involving them in various games. The tiny tots of Preschool and Pre-primary celebrated the day with much joy and enthusiasm.

A variety of fun-filled activities and games planned by the Sunshine team for children. Children were given chocolates and gifts like crayons, pencils etc. as a token of appreciation.

The event was attended by SRM AP Student Affairs Department Assistant Director, Ms Revathi Balakrishnan, Manager, Narendra Babu and Assistant Physical Director, Dr Abdul Mohimin.
