SSC CGL 2024 Notification 2024: Release Date, Application Process, Exam Dates

The Staff Selection Commission will make the SSC CGL notification 2024 available online on June 11, 2024. The Commission will allow one month to complete the SSC CGL online applications 2024. The deadline for submitting SSC CGL 2024 applications will be July 10, 2024. The SSC CGL 2024 exam will be computer-based and will take place in August/September of 2024. The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam is held annually to recruit candidates for Group B and Group C positions. The SSC CGL 2024 exam will be computer-based (CBE).

The SSC CGL 2024 application status will be made available on regional websites around twenty days before the exam date. The Union government might issue a notification to hold the exam through the National Recruitment Agency (NRA). This exam will be known as the NRA CET exam. CET stands for Common Eligibility Test (CET). Candidates who meet all of the outcome guidelines will be declared eligible to participate in the Tier 2 exam.

What is SSC CGL?

SSC CGL is a national-level exam administered by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to choose candidates for Group-B and Group-C positions in various Ministries, Departments, and Organisations of the Government of India. Every year, over 30 lakh people complete the SSC CGL application form, and approximately 15 lakh candidates sit for the exam. The Staff Selection Commission administers the exam in four phases, known as tiers. The two tiers of the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam are administered online.  

SSC CGL Notification 2024

On June 11, 2024, the Staff Selection Commission will make the SSC CGL 2024 notification available on its official website, ssc.nic.in. The SSC CGL 2024 notice will act as a handy reference during the exam procedure. Candidates are advised to read and understand all of the information contained in the official notification.

SSC CGL 2024 Recruitment

The recruiting procedure for the SSC CGL 2024 exam began with the release of the official notification. The notification contains the first official information about the SSC CGL recruitment 2024 procedure. The Staff Selection Commission made the Combined Graduate-level examination news available exclusively online. The SSC CGL recruiting process will conclude with the announcement of the final results and answer key. 

The Staff Selection Commission issued the SSC CGL announcement 2023 online on April 3, 2023. To apply for the SSC CGL 2023 exam, aspirants must have read and understood the official announcement. The official notification provided information on the SSC CGL posts, as well as the age limits for each. The Commission also announced the compensation scales for each of the positions mentioned in the official notification. On May 3, the Commission updated the application rectification dates. The Commission announced the CGL Tier 1 exam dates on March 29, 2023. 

SSC CGL Application Form 2024

The SSC CGL 2024 online application process will begin with the release of the official announcement. Candidates must fill out their applications online on the official website by the directions provided in the official notification. The Commission is expected to issue the official announcement on June 11, 2024. When the official announcement was released, the Commission launched the SSC CGL application online link. The application deadline for the SSC CGL 2024 will be July 11, 2024. 

How to Apply for the SSC CGL Exam 2024?

Candidates were able to fill out the SSC CGL 2024 online application form on the official website of the Commission. There were two parts to the application- registration and application. The SSC CGL application filling process is given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of SSC – ssc.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the ‘New User? Register Now ‘link. 

Step 3: Fill out the SSC CGL registration form.

Step 4: Log in to the registered account using the registration number (generated at the time of registration) and password (set at the time of registration).

Step 5: Fill in all details asked in the SSC CGL application form.

Step 6: Upload scanned images of photos signatures and other important documents, if applicable. 

Step 7: Review the SSC online form carefully and click on the Final Submit button.

Step 8: Pay the SSC CGL application fee of INR 100 in online or offline mode.   

SSC CGL Application Fee 2024

Candidates could pay the SSC CGL application cost of INR 100 online or offline using an SBI challan, BHIM UPI, internet banking, credit card, or debit card. However, all females and applicants from reserved groups, such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM), were excused from paying the application fees. 

SSC CGL Educational Qualification Code 2024

Candidates were needed to fill up their highest qualification in the SSC CGL applications online. However, candidates were not required to do it independently. The candidates were needed to enter the following codes into their applications.

SSC CGL Eligibility 2024

The official notification listed all of the relevant eligibility requirements for the exam. The SSC CGL eligibility criteria varied depending on the post for which the candidate applied. 

SSC CGL Age Limit

SSC CGL Qualification Required

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution or institute. Candidates can read and comprehend the SSC CGL eligibility criteria here.

SSC CGL Admit Card 2024

To take the exam, students must download the SSC CGL admit card from the regional website in the manner stated. An admit card is the necessary paperwork for admission to the exam center. 

SSC CGL Answer Key 2024

Within three days of the exam, the Staff Selection Commission makes the first answer key available. The Commission requested that the applicants submit objections to the inaccurate responses they provided during the exam. After taking into account the objections, the Commission will create the final answer key. The final answer key will be used to announce the outcome.

SSC CGL 2023 main answer key was made available online on December 16, 2023. Candidates are advised to obtain the SSC CGL 2023 final answer key to compute their marks and compare them to the official main cutoff. SSC CGL main answer key 2023 (tentative) was made available online on October 30, 2023. The Commission requested that candidates email concerns to the inaccurate questions/answers included in the official answer key. The deadline for accepting such complaints was November 1. Following the declaration of the results, the Commission will issue the SSC CGL final answer key.

SSC CGL Result 2024

The SSC CGL Tier 1 results 2024 are likely to be made available online in October 2024. The Commission will include the roll numbers and names of qualified candidates in the result pdf. The Commission will also disclose the number of candidates who qualified for the Tier 2 exam.

The previously released result has been canceled. The Commission chose 23 new candidates in the amended results. SSC CGL Result 2023 for the Tier 2 exam was declared on December 4, 2023. The Staff Selection Commission has announced the SSC CGL 2023 Result for the Tier 1 test, which was held from July 14 to July 27, 2023.

SSC CGL Cut-Off 2024

The Staff Selection Commission will announce the SSC CGL 2024 cutoff with the results. The Commission will announce the SSC CGL 2024 cutoff for all categories and post groups based on the results. The amount of vacant positions will determine the SSC CGL cutoff.

SSC CGL Exam Centres 2024

The official announcement from the Staff Selection Commission will provide information on the SSC CGL 2024 exam centers. SSC CGL Selection Process 2024

The SSC CGL selection process includes the following stages/tiers:

• Application process: Candidates need to fill out the application form online on the official website of the commission in a specified manner. The application fee is INR 100.
• Tier 1 application status – The regional websites of SSC release the application status of the candidates, mentioning the acceptance or rejection of the application. It will also inform you about the exam date of the candidate.
• Tier 1 admit cards: SSC regional websites release the admit for the CGL Tier-I exam four days before the exam day. The candidates need to download their admit cards from these regional SSC websites in a specified manner.
• Tier 1 exam: Tier-I is a Computer-Based Exam (CBE) that contains objective-type Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) of 200 marks. 
• Tier 1 Answer Key – SSC releases the tentative answer within ten days of the completion of the exam. The Commission asks the candidates to raise objections against the incorrect questions/answers given in the official answer key.
• Tier 1 result: The result is declared by SSC on its official website within 45 days of the exam. The result contains the names and/or roll numbers of candidates qualifying for the Tier-II exam. 
• Tier 2 admit card: Eligible candidates need to download their admit cards for the Tier-II exam from the official regional websites. The admit card is typically released about one week before the exam. 
• Tier 2 exam: Tier II is again a CBE that is divided into three papers.
• SSC CGL result: The final result is announced based on candidates’ performance in tier-I and tier-II exams. All qualifying candidates are then allotted Group B and C posts in various ministries/departments/organizations of the Government of India.
