Who Can Apply for the SSP Scholarship?

Vidyasiri Scholarship
  • The student must be a Karnataka resident and belong to one of the SC/ST or Minority communities.
  • During the academic year, the student must attend 75% of the classes.
  • The annual income of a SC/ST family must be INR 2 lakh or less.
  • OBC families must have an annual income of INR 1 lakh or less.
Post-matric Scholarship for Backward Classes
  • Students must be Karnataka residents and belong to the Backward Classes.
  • They must be pursuing post-matriculation studies. They must have received at least 50% (for category 1) and 60% (for categories
  • 2A, 3A, and 3B) in the previous examination.
  • A family’s annual income must be less than INR 2.5 lakh.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities
  • The student must be a Karnataka resident. 
  • Student must be in Class 11, 12, graduate, postgraduate, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil or Ph.D.
  • Students must have at least 50% or equivalent grades in the previous final examination
  • The total annual income of a student should not exceed INR 2.5 lakh.
  • Students must be members of a minority group (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, or Zoroastrian/Parsi).
Merit cum Means Scholarship
  • The student must be a Karnataka resident.
  • The student must be in Class 9.
  • Students must have received 55% or equivalent in Class 8 (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST students).
  • The family’s total income must be less than INR 2.5 lakhs.
Engineering and Diploma Engineering Fee Reimbursement for SC/ST
  • The student must be a Karnataka resident.
  • The annual family income of a student should range between INR 2.5 lakh and INR 10 lakh.
  • Scholarship for Military Service: Parents of ST/SC students must be in the Army/Navy/Airforce or work as JCO/NCO/Lower rank.
