UPSC IES and ISS Exam 2024 application submission is on at ‘https://upsc.gov.in/’ till 30 April 2024. The registration for this exam started on 10 April 2024.
It is about the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit suitable candidates for Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service which are popularly known as IES and ISS.
ISS/ISS Officer
ISS officer plays a very crucial role in the statistical thinking of the government and they siginificantly contribute in national and international organisations by ensuring statistical administration, statistical planning, formulation, monitoring and evaluation of development.
IES/IES Officer
IES officer in turn provides economic advise, economic administration and implementation of development programmes and also deals with other areas like economic reforms, regulations, price fixing.
Who can submit UPSC IES and ISS Exam 2024 Application?
Educational Qualification
Candidates focused on IES must have passed post graduate degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, Econometrics from a recognised university to submit UPSC IES and ISS Exam 2024 application.
Those who have passed bachelor’s degree with statistics/mathematical statistics/applied statistics as one of the subjects can opt for ISS while submitting UPSC IES and ISS Exam 2024 application.
Even candidates who hold a master’s degree in statistics/mathematical statistics/applied statistics can also apply.
Age Limit
The age limit for the candidate to submit UPSC IES and ISS Exam 2024 application 21 to 30 years. The applicant must be in the age group of 21 to 30 years. The minimum age must be 21 and the maximum should be 30 years.
The upper age can be relaxed for SC, ST category candidates by five years. Other backward classes have upper age relaxation of three years.
Citizenship
Those willing to submit UPSC IES and ISS Exam 2024 application must be an Indian citizen. Even subjects of Nepal, Bhutan can also write the exam.
Tibetan refugee who has come to India before 1 January 1962 with an objective of settling in India and person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with a motive of permanently settling in India can also apply.
Except for Indian citizen, rest of others have to submit certificate of eligibility that is issued by Government of India.

4. Once the webpage with above URL opens, the applicants can read about the recruitment and then press the button Click here
5. Once the above button is clicked, webpage with URL ‘https://upsconline.nic.in/upsc/OTRP/’ opens, candidates can take up OTR (one time registration) and create an account with username and password.
6. Post creation of account, they can log in and then choose IES and ISS Exam from the dashboard and then start filling the UPSC IES and ISS Exam 2024 application form.
Those who have successfully completed their UPSC IES and ISS Exam 2024 Application submission process can alone download the admit card.
