BSc Nursing course: Apply till great 15 June

BSc Nursing course registration in College of Nursing in Chittoor is open and interested women candidates can apply.

Only women candidates who are unmarried are eligible to apply.

The application for BSc Nursing course commenced on 27 April. The last date to submit online applications is 15 June.

College of Nursing is located in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh and is owned by Christian Medical College of Vellore in Tamil Nadu.

About BSc Nursing course

The BSc Nursing course is designed to enable students to get a wider understanding of nursing based on scientific principles and clinical experience.

The annual intake of students is 50.

BSc Nursing comprises a four year course and one year training as junior staff nurse.

It is affiliated to The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

Students have to appear for university examinations at the end of each year during the course.

BSc Nuring course includes lessons like
basic sciences (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Nutrition), Nursing Foundation inclusive of Bioethics, Psychology, English and Computer Applications in the first year.

The second year of BSc Nursing course focuses mainly on General Medical Surgical Nursing and an orientation to Community Health Nursing.
Subjects like Sociology, Genetics, Pharmacology, Pathology, Communication and Education Technology are also covered.

The third year of BSc Nursing course comprises specialties in medical surgical nursing, child health nursing, mental health/psychiatric nursing and nursing research.

The first half of fourth year is spent in obstetrics and gynaecology nursing, community health nursing and management of nursing services & education.

The second half of the fourth year is a rotating internship in all the areas of nursing.

Eligibility
Applicants for BSc Nursing course should be of Indian nationality or persons of Indian origin.

Candidates should have passed the plus-two examination with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English individually.

The pass percentage must be 45% in the qualifying exam.

There is a 5% relaxation in pass percentage if applicants for BSc Nursing course are from SC/ST categories.

Post registering, applicants will obtain username and password.

Soon after the webpage downloads on clicking the above url, applicants have to scroll down the page and click the button ‘Sign-in to Apply/View’

Post clicking the button, individuals have to enter their username and password and login and commence applying for BSc Nursing course.

Applicants have to pay the registration fee and upload required documents and submit the application.

Candidates can take a printout once the application submission is confirmed.

Applicants for BSc Nursing course must pay a registration fee of Rs 1300.

The fee comprises administrative fee of Rs 800 and a registration fee of Rs 500.

The foreign nationals and others applying for BSc Nursing course from abroad have to pay Rs 3400 if they are from SAARC countries.

The same is USD 225 if they are from any other part of the globe.

Payment method
Individuals can pay the registration fee either through debit card, credit card or online banking.

Applicants can also use ICICI Challan also to pay the registration fee.

Documents to be submitted
Applicants for BSc Nursing course have to upload following documents:

# Photograph of the candidate whose size should not exceed more than 80 kb.

# Scanned image of candidate’s signature whose size should not be more than 50 kb.

# Scanned copy of category certificate (if applicable)

# Undergraduate college recommendation form in case candidate is a christian.

# Scanned copy of 12th class marksheet.

# Scanned copy of 10th class marksheet.

BSc Nursing coursePoint to remember
The photocopies of the documents enclosed along with the application have to be sent to the ‘Registrar, Christian Medical College, Vellore-632 002, Tamil Nadu, India’ before 22 June.

Applicants must ensure they mention their Application number on the enclosures they are sending to the office of the Registrar.

Candidates who have paid the fees through ICICI Challan must also send the photocopy of the challan along with the enclosures to the address mentioned above.

Important dates
The application submission for BSc Nursing course began on 27 April and last date to submit application is 15 June.

Last date to send the documents to the Office of Registrar of Christian Medical Collge
is 22 June.

The last date to receive certificates from Minority network organisations is 6 June.

The entrance exam for BSc Nursing course will be conducted on 10 August.

The entrance test result will be declared on 18 August.

The second process of admission comprising medical checkup, interview and special test
will be held on 30 September and 1 October at Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh.

The results of second process will be declared on 5 October.

Candidates selected will register on 29 October and classes for selected candidates will begin on 1 November.

Halltickets for the written test will be made available one week before the examination on the website ‘https://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in/’

Selection process
Applicants for BSc Nursing course must pass a written test.

Candidates who pass the written test will have to attend the next stage of admission which comprises another special test, interview and medical checkup.

Individuals who pass the second stage of admission process will be selected for undertaking BSc Nursing course.

BSc Nursing courseWritten test
The written test for BSc Nursing course is a computer based test comprising questions in multiple choice format.

Questions related to biology, physics and chemistry taught at plus-two level will be asked in the written test.

Also aptitude assessment questions have to answered.

There will be 60 questions each for all the three subjects mentioned above.

Another 120 questions related to General ability and current affairs will be asked in the aptitude assessment section.
