Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), a well known instiute in Chennai in Tamilnadu offering various courses in engineering is inviting application for Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Entrance Examination HITSEEE 2020 for seeking admission into various graduate level courses in engineering and design and architecture.

Some of the courses offered are BTech (Aeronautical Engineering), BTech (Aerospace Engineering), BTech (Biotechnology), BDes (Interior Design), BArch (Architecture), BTech (Civil Engineering). HITSEEE 2020

The online entrance exam will be held in Chennai centres from 25 to 30 April, for other centres exam will be from 25 to 26 April. The counselling dates are from 7 to 10 May this year. The question paper will be in english and questions will be in multiple choice format and duration of the exam will be for two hours. The questions will be organised in three parts, namely Part 1 (Physics), Part 2 (Chemistry) and Part 3 (Mathematics).

Sources from HITS say candidates seeking admission into BTech and BDes programmes must have an average of 50% pass marks in plus-two with Maths, Physics, Chemistry as subjects. For seeking admission in vocational stream for BTech courses must have 50% pass marks in related subjects and vocational subjects (theory and practical). B.Tech Biotechnology admission can be sought when candidate has 50% plus-two with Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology as subjects.

Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. degree programme must have passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Added to this, candidates willing to seek admission into BArch must also have passed National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture, India.

Candidates whose birth date falls after 1 July 1998 are eligible to apply for HITSEEE 2020. Toppers of state and central board will get 100 percent tuition fee waiver, top 1 – 25 HITSEEE rank holders will also get 100% tuition fee waiver. Counselling for the allocation of the course of study to the short listed candidates is firmly based on All India Rank (AIR) of the candidate in the HITSEEE 2020.

Candidates may note the date of counselling, either on HITS website or by enquiring Hindustan Admission Office on the day after the declaration of the HITSEEE 2020 results.
