IIIT-D students get offers from top COs – The moment of celebration has again arrived for Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-Delhi) as its performance with regards to placement has been splendid. The students of the educational institution have won offers from top companies like Google, Amazon and Facebook during the present placement season.

Sources from the insitute said the top companies recruited engineering graduate and post graduate students. Sources further remind that the placement season is yet to witness completion and many more students are likely to get placement orders as couple of more companies are linedup to visit the campus.

Google made a total of 15 offers the B.Tech students of IIIT-Delhi, three students of B.Tech 2020 batch are said to have received full-time offers out of them as Software Development Engineer. That is not all, six B.Tech pre-final year students bagged summer internships for May 2020.

Six girl students from engineering second year were selected through the STEP (Summer Trainee Engineering Program) for the summer internship. For the first time, Amazon recruited five students from the MTech Computer Science Engineering students of 2020 batch and a PhD student was offered the position of Applied Scientist.

The role involves maximizing the benefits of innovative machine learning (ML) techniques in the industry to solve real-world e-Commerce problems through diversified applications of ML.

The key responsibilities for this position include analyzing and extracting relevant information from large amounts of Amazon’s historical business data to help automate and optimize key processes, establishing scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data model development and researching and implementing novel machine learning and statistical approaches.

A final year B.Tech student of IIIT-Delhi is said to have received an international offer from Facebook (London) in the present placement season. This is said to be a highlight in the present placement season.
