JEE Mains 2023: Great correction window opens

JEE Mains 2023 correction window in connection with Session 1 of the test is open and corrections can be done in the application forms already submitted. The test is for those who wish to join engineering courses at graduation in IIITs and NITs. Students focused on joining IITs have to earn a score in JEE Mains 2023 that comes under the top 2.5 lakh ranks on the national level.

That is not all, many private educational institutions also offer seats in engineering (BE or BTech) based on the score in JEE Mains which is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and that is where the score in JEE Mains 2023 becomes important.

JEE Mains 2023Students who have successfully registered for JEE Mains 2023 and submitted the application form for the exam and paid the registration fee will be able to make corrections in the forms already submitted. Students can make the corrections, however, they have to remember that while certain corrections can be done for free, for making a couple of other corrections, money has to be paid.

What corrections cannot/can be done to JEE Mains 2023 application

Students cannot change their mobile number, email address, permanent address, and current address. Candidates whose Aadhaar is verified will not be able to change their name or date of birth, and gender in the JEE Mains 2023 application form.

Applicants can make corrections related to the names of their parents, their category, sub-category, city, medium, qualification, and course. Candidates have to cross-check the corrections they have made to the application form and ensure they are correct before submitting them.

Once the corrections are submitted, changes cannot be done again, so students have to carefully check the information being provided. Candidates whose Aadhaar is not verified can change their name, names of their parents, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category, city, medium, qualification, and course.

How to undertake corrections and dates

Candidates have to visit the official website of JEE Mains 2023 to make corrections with the help of the URL ‘https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/’ The website should be allowed to download after the URL is typed in the browser.

Once the website is downloaded, candidates have to click the link for the correction there and enter their roll number/application number, date of birth, and password and submit them to view the application form. Corrections can be taken up once the application form is accessible on the computer screen.

The changes made to the application forms have to be verified to ensure accuracy before the final submission. Corrections to the application form for JEE Mains 2023 can be done till 11:50 pm on 14 January 2023.

Point to remember

Since it is a one-time facility extended to the candidates to avoid any hardship to them, the candidates are advised to do the correction very carefully, as no further opportunity for correction will be given to the candidates.
