For admission to BTech programs at Lovely Professional University, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Nationality

Only Indian nationals can apply for LPUNEST (B.Tech).

Qualifying Examination

Applicants for LPUNEST (B.Tech) must have completed or will be taking the final 10+2 examination from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi), the State Board, or any other Council, Institution, or College. Candidates must pass the test with 60%* aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (including Physics, Mathematics, and English), subject to qualifying LPUNEST (B.Tech.).

• Candidates from the North-East states and Sikkim, as well as Defence Personnel and their Dependents/Wards of Kashmiri Migrants, are eligible for a 5% reduction in qualifying exam passing marks.
• Outstanding sportspeople (i.e. A/A+ category according to Sports Scholarship) are eligible for a 10% reduction in passing marks in qualifying exams, subject to certification by the University’s Selection Committee. The selection committee must include the Head (DSW), Director of Sports, Deputy Director of Sports, Concerned Coach, and the VC Nominee.
• For B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. Food Technology, and B.Tech. Biomedical Engineering.
• Physics, Chemistry, English, and one of Math, Biology, or Biotechnology; the rest remains the same.
• For B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE) and B.Tech. Petroleum Engineering.
• Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English are among the subjects under consideration; the rest stay unchanged.
