NEET PG 2024 Exam will be conducted on 11 August 2024 in two shifts. It is known that the exam was to be held on 23 June 2024, but was postponed.

The new date of NEET PG 2024 Exam is now announced. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will be conducting the test on the latest date.

It is also to note that NEET PG 2024 exam was postponed as a precautionary measure.

About two lakh candidates take NEET PG every year to gain admission into postgraduate medical courses.

NEET PG 2024 was first scheduled to be held on 3 March 2024, but was later changed to 7 July 2024. Later the date was fixed to 23 June 2024 taking into consideration the general elections.

The cut-off date for the purpose of eligibility to appear in the NEET PG 2024 Exam is the same, that is, 15 August 2024.

Candidates can now focus on their preparation strategy for NEET PG 2024 Exam.

Registration

This aspect is not clear as to whether fresh application submission will be started for NEET PG 2024 Exam or not. There may not be fresh registration in this regard.

However, candidates may have to download fresh admit cards for the exam. The new hall tickets will have details about the fresh exam date and time along with test center details.

What is NEET PG?

NEET PG is expanded into National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Post Graduate, it is conducted once every year for providing admission into postgraduate medical courses in colleges located across India.

NEET PG 2024 exam is meant to be held in 2024 and is conducted by National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). NEET PG 2024 registration nothing but applying for the exam.

The link for it will be activated at the appropriate time on the official website. The link will turn active about 10 or 20 days before the exam day. It can be downloaded as per the instructions below:

1. Type the URL ‘https://natboard.edu.in/viewnbeexam?exam=neetpg’ in the browser and submit it for allowing it to download.

2. Once the website is ready, the link for admit card has to be clicked.

3. After clicking the link, candidates have to enter their application number, date of birth and other details and submit them to obtain the hall ticket.

After Download

Candidates can appear for 2024 NEET PG exam with their hall tickets. They have to pass the exam with required qualifying marks to be eligible for the next phase of admission which comprises counselling.

Counselling is the process where candidates can choose the course and the college where they desire to study the program of their choice.

Applicants must also have completed the required internship (CRI or CRRI) and have the required registration with NMC/Erstwhile MCI or State Medical Councils.

This process would commence after the results of NEET PG 2024 exam are announced. Results are expected to be out in September 2024.

Candidates who have passed NEET PG 2024 exam with required qualifying marks can focus on counselling procedure.

Counselling is where candidates get to choose the college and the course they wish to study there.

The procedure will be conducted in more than one round, those who do not get a seat in the initial round can try in the subsequent rounds.
