There is no change in the date of conducting NEETexam for this year. Sunday, May 3 is the date and the popular exam will be held on the same day as per the usual schedule. Sources from National Testing Agency also said the admit card will be made available for download as per the earlier schedule on 27 March this year. Students can logon to the official website of NTA at ‘ntaneet.nic.in‘ to download the hall ticket at the appropriate time.
Speculation about likely change of exam date did rounds recently as CBSE had to bring out new schedule for conducting 10th and 12th exams and talk was this could have clashed with the date of NEETexam.
However, as per the new schedule declared 12th exams will be held from 31 March to 14 April and 10th exam will be held from 21 March to 30 March. As there is a good gap between the dates of CBSE 10th and 12th exams and that of 2020 exam, there seems to be very little scope of bringing a change in the date of NEET2020.
CBSE brought out new schedule for the exams of 10th and 12th classes as the reputed organisation could not conduct the same exam in certain parts of the national capital owing to the violent incidents regarding CAA in the recent past. It is worth recollecting that NEETexam was introduced to felicitate admissions into medical courses in various colleges across the country.
The test is of three hour duration and has to be written in pen and paper mode. The test comprises 180 questions for 720 marks that have to be answered in a duration of three hours. The paper comprises 45 questions from physics, chemistry and 90 questions from biology. The syllabus to be covered are lessons in biology, physics and chemistry of 10, 11 and 12 standards along with the topics mentioned in NEETUG core syllabus.
