NEET UG 2025 Counselling State Wise will soon be point of focus. This is about the process followed in various Indian states to provide MBBS admission.
NEET UG 2025 result is likely to be declared on 14 June 2025, post result declaration, counselling schedules will also likely become clear.

Seats in the medical colleges would be provided under two quotas – AIQ (All India Quota) and State Quota.
A total of 15 percent seats in medical colleges in India would be provided under AIQ, the rest (85 percent) will be given under state quota.
The counselling for AIQ will be conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) which comes under Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Government of India.

On the other hand, NEET UG 2025 Counselling state wise will be conducted by the respective authorities concerned of various states.
Candidates can choose to take part in AIQ or state wise counselling or both to obtain a seat in a medical college. While students from any state can apply in AIQ, the state counselling is mostly available for students of that respective state.

Choice filling and locking is where the candidates get to choose colleges and course they wish to study there and then lock them. A list of chosen candidates (those who have been allotted a seat) is released.
They can also likely indicate the order of their preference of colleges in any round. Applicants can opt for any one college or choose to move to next institution as a part of choice filling and locking.
Individuals whose numbers or names are found in the list can convey the acceptance of the seat and then pay the fees and visit the institution where they have been allotted a seat for further process.

5. Candidates can login after creating an account and take up choice filling and locking at the appropriate time.
