The admission is all about seeking a seat in NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) to study courses like Bachelor of Fashion Technology, Master of Fashion Technology, Bachelor of Design, Master of Design and Master of Fashion Management.

Admission process
The candidates applying for NIFT 2022 admission have to pass an entrance test.

The test
The written test depends upon the course the candidate wishes to apply.

BDes
Individuals applying for BDes (Bachelor of Design) course through NIFT 2022 admission must write Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test.

CAT has 50 percent weightage, GAT has 30 percent weightage and Situation Test has 20 percent weightage.

BFTech
Applicants for BFTech (Bachelor of Fashion Technology) through NIFT 2022 admission must write GAT and its weightage in the admission procedure is 100 percent.

MDes
Individuals have to write CAT, GAT and pass it and then attend Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) if they are seeking to get a seat in Masters of Design (MDes) through NIFT 2022 admission.

CAT has 40 percent weightage and GAT, GD and PI have a weightage of 30 percent each in the admission process.

MFTech
Individuals interested in MFTech (Masters in Fashion Technology) have to pass GAT and then take part in GD and PI.

GAT has a weightage of 70 percent and GD and PI have a weightage of 30 percent in the admission system.

MFM
Students focusing on a seat in Masters in Fashion Management (MFM) have to pass GAT and then take part in GD and PI.

The weightage for GAT is 70 percent and GD/PI have a weightage of 30 percent in the admission process.

Eligibility
The eligibility criteria depends on the course candidates is desiring to apply through NIFT 2022 admission.

Undergraduate
Applicants must have passed plus-two exams from a recognized institution located across India.

Postgraduate
Students focusing on postgraduate courses through this NIFT 2022 admission must have passed a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Educational Qualification for Master’s Programme in Fashion Technology- MFTech is a pass in B.FTech. from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) or  B.E/B.Tech. from any recognized Institute/University in India.

Post webpage downloading, they can click the appropriate link for registration and commence the process and obtain username and password.

After obtaining the username and password, students have to use them and login and apply for NIFT 2022 admission.

Applicants can fill the form, upload the required documents, pay the registration fee and submit the application form.

Foreign nationals
Foreign Nationals (whether residing in India or abroad) and Non Resident Indians, who are citizens of India holding an Indian passport and have temporarily immigrated to another
country for six months or more for work, residence or any other purpose and who meet eligibility and admission requirements of NIFT can also apply for admission.

The selection of eligible candidates of this category for admission in NIFT will be based on their SAT/GMAT/GRE scores, and not on the basis of the entrance examination.

Registration fee
Registration fee to be paid while applying for NIFT 2022 admission is Rs 2000 for applicants of General category.

The same for SC/ST/PwD category candidates is Rs 1000.
