This will enable many more students to take up PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration. This is for admission into doctorate courses in Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU).

According to sources, last date for PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration was 15 September 2023 earlier. The application submission began on 9 August 2023.

Changes in the schedule

Students will be able to take up PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration till 9 PM on 22 September 2023. The fee payment can be done till 11:50 PM on 22 September 2023.

PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration was open from 9 August to 15 September 2023 as per earlier schedule. The correction in forms submitted could be taken up from 16 to 17 September 2023 as per the former schedule.

Now, candidates who have successfully completed their PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration will be able to take up corrections from 23 to 24 September 2023.

Who can take up PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration?

Students willing to take up PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration must have passed postgraduation in the relevant discipline from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India.

The qualifying degree must be related to the subject in which the applicants are desiring to pursue a doctorate. For certain courses, candidates from allied disciplines can also apply.

1. The URL mentioned above must be typed into the browser and submitted to allow the website to download.

2. Once, the website is ready, candidates have to scroll down the webpage and click the button Login

3. Clicking the above button will open another webpage with URL ‘https://phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in/index.php/site/login’

4. Once the website with above URL is available, applicants can press Click here for new registration button and create an user account.

5. After creating the user account, they can login and start filling the application form.

How to download the hall ticket?

Candidates who have successfully taken up PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration can download hall ticket at the appropriate time which would be announced in due course.

1. Candidates can access the official website with help of URL ‘https://phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in/’

2. Once the website is available, they have to click the link for admit card.

3. Once the webpage for admit card is available, they can provide the required details and submit them to avail the hall ticket.

Registration fee

Applicants from General category have to pay Rs 1200 for one test paper and Rs 800 for every additional test paper they wish to apply as PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration fee.

The same for OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS category applicants is Rs 1100 for one test paper and Rs 700 for every additional test paper.

PhD Entrance Test 2023 registration fee is Rs 1000 for one test paper and Rs 700 for every additional test paper for SC/ST/Third Gender/PwBD category applicants.

Point to remember

The dates for conducting the exam and prior hall ticket downloading dates are yet to be announced. They will be made known in the due course.

Candidates who have completed their PhD Entrance Exam 2023 registration successfully will alone be able to download the admit card.

The exam will be conducted in online mode for a duration of three hours. Students have to pass the exam with the required qualifying marks to be eligible to apply for doctorate admissions.
