TN SSLC 2021 result: Now release on August 23

TN SSLC 2021 result is to be released on August 23 and students can view them on official website from 11 am onwards.

This year over 9 lakh students are said to have registered for class 10 exams which were not conducted.

Directorate of Government Examinations of Tamil Nadu (TNDGE) will release TN SSLC 2021 result and upload them on the website for students to view.

The time
TN SSLC 2021 result is likely to be released and made available for viewing on the website by around 11 am of 23 August.

Students can view TN SSLC 2021 result on the websites – ‘dge.tn.nic.in’ and ‘tnresults.nic.in’

They can begin visiting the above mentioned websites by about 11 am on 23 August to view the results.

How to check TN SSLC 2021 result

All the students who have registered for attending 10th class exams for this year can visit the website ‘http://www.dge.tn.gov.in/‘

Soon after the webpage downloads, they can click the button ‘Other Important Links’ which will be located right below the banner of Directorate of Government Examinations.

Students should click ‘Other Important Links’ and when another webpage appears, candidates can see host of website links on it.

Students have to choose anyone of the website links under the title ‘TAMILNADU SCHOOL EDUCATION RESULT WEBSITE’

The links under the above title are ‘www.dge1.tn.nic.in’ and ‘www.dge2.tn.nic.in’

If students click ‘www.dge1.tn.nic.in’ it will lead to a website ‘http://tnresults.nic.in/’ where they have to click the link for TN SSLC 2021 result and then enter their registration number and date of birth and submit them to view the marks in various subjects.

If students click ‘www.dge2.tn.nic.in’ then it will lead to the url ‘http://www.dge2.tn.nic.in/’ where they can click the link for viewing TN SSLC 2021 result and enter their registration number and date of birth and submit them to view the result.

The 10th class students can also visit the websites ‘http://tnresults.nic.in/’ or ‘http://www.dge2.tn.nic.in/’ directly and click the required link and enter their registration number and date of birth to get TN SSLC 2021 result.

Soon after TN SSLC 2021 result is declared, a large number students may begin visiting the websites mentioned above, owing to which, they may turn unresponsive for some students.

Once the webpage opens, students have provide details like their name as per the Aadhar Card, date of birth as per their Aadhar Card, Their Gender, their mobile number, email id, Aadhar Card number and then type 6 digit security PIN number and the submit them.

Post submitting, students would get their credentials (username and password). Post obtaining credentials, students should visit the Digilocker website at ‘https://www.digilocker.gov.in/dashboard/documents’ and click the appropriate link for TN SSLC 2021 result and login with help of the credentials and download the marksheets.

Students who are already registered on Digilocker and who are having an account can directly visit the website of Digilocker can login with help of their credentials and download the marksheet.

The result
TN SSLC 2021 result will be displayed with information like student’s name, parent’s name, date of birth and subject wise marks.

Students have to wait for the result to be visible and then take a printout and preserve it for future use.

To pass
A pass in the 10th class exams, requires a student to secure at least 35 marks in each of the six subjects.

Background
The 10th class exams or SSLC exams as they are popularly known were to be held in early May this year in Tamil Nadu.

However, much like last year, this year too, the exams could not be conducted as per the planned schedule.

The COVID-19 situation which disrupted the exam conducting process in Tamil Nadu last year too did the same this year.

Taking into account safety of students, teachers, the exams for 10th standard in Tamil Nadu were cancelled.

TN SSLC 2021 result was made ready using an alternative assessment method.

The result would be prepared using and 80:20 formula, say sources.

As per the above method, 80 percent of the weightage would go to performance in quarterly or half-yearly exams and 20 percent of the weightage will go to the attendance of the student.
