VITREE 2025: Application Process Begins, Know Eligibility, Exam Pattern, and Important Dates

Vellore Institute of Technology has initiated the registration process for the Vellore Institute of Technology Research Entrance Examination, VITREE 2025. Candidates who are willing and eligible for the examination can fill out the registration form by visiting the official website at admissions.vit.ac.in. Registration will close on November 25.

VITREE is conducted for admission to various PhD and direct PhD programmes offered by the VIT group of Institutions. As per the official schedule, VITREE 2025 exam will be conducted on December 7. The institute will also conduct a personal interview round for the students who clear the entrance exam on December 14. As per the official schedule, the institute will announce the VITREE results 2025 on December 20.

VITREE 2025: Eligibility Criteria

The following are the Eligibility Criteria for Admission to various courses at VITREE 2025:

• PhD: The candidates must possess a Master’s degree in engineering or technology in the relevant field with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale or MSc (Engineering)/MS/MTech or similar qualifications.
• Direct PhD: The candidate must have an excellent academic record in Bachelors in the concerned subject. A minimum 75% mark or CGPA 7.5 on a 10-point scale is required.
• It should be a PhD in architecture and planning and a master’s degree in architecture, design, planning, building engineering and management, or equivalent, awarded through regular/full-time education mode. They need to have acquired at least 60% marks or above or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying degree examination throughout their academic tenure where applicable.

VITREE 2025: Pattern of Exam

The VITREE 2025 examination will be held online in computer-based mode. The medium of the VITREE 2025 test is English. The period for the paper is 2 hours. In all, there will be 100 multiple-choice questions. For the VITREE 2025 PhD paper, in total, there will be 3 sections-Technical, English communication skills, statistics and probability. On the other hand, VITREE 2025 direct PhD, there will be only two sections-Technical and English communication skills. For every correct answer, the candidates will get 1 mark, and there is no negative marking for the wrong attempts.
