Central University of Karnataka (CUK) was established in 2009, by an act of Parliament, in Gulbarga known as Kulabaragi now. The Central University of Karnataka was among the 16 Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan Period. Its Campus spreads over 654 acres of land at the Gulbarga-Waghdhari Inter-State highway near Kadaganchi village in Kalaburagi. The Central University of Karnataka Programs is offered in five major area- Arts, Humanities, Management, Sciences, and Engineering. The University has all the facilities at the campus such as laboratories, library, canteen, SC/ST cell, computer, and health Centre. Central University Of Karnataka hostel provides rooms to its native students.
