Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK), Kerela was established in 1996. IIMK is an autonomous body and is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). The main aim of the institute is to produce finest leaders, management thinkers and educators who will contribute towards the development of society.
IIMK has been ranked 5th among management schools in India by Outlook India’s Top 100 Management Schools-2016, 6th by NIRF in 2018, and 7th by The Week and Business Today’s India Best B Schools-2019.
The college campus is spread in an area of 112.5 acres of land. The campus is situated on two hillocks in the Kunnamangalam Area of ancient city of Calicut in Kerala. The campus of the college is most picturesque to look at and is one of the oxy-rich campuses of the country. It has a world class infrastructure that includes air-conditioned classrooms, guest care areas and LAN/WAN connectivity which enables every IIMK resident to be exposed to a wholesome experience. The ‘Kampus’ is also home to the first Museum dedicated to Indian Business (established in 2013) in the country. It is also the first institution to conceive and create a technology enabled and interactive online executive education programme which is running continuously since 2001.
The vision of the college is Globalizing Indian Thought by Inculcating Authenticity (Satyam), Sustainability (Nityam) and Fulfillment (Purnam). The mission of the college is to inculcate a spirit of wholesome learning and create a unique space of global reckoning thereby nurturing capable and dependable management thinkers in the pursuit of developing socially responsible and environmentally friendly practitioners, leaders and educators who will contribute towards creating a better world.

4th position in NIRF 2021 is the career-best rank, which coincides with the Silver Jubilee Year of the Institute.
IIMK is the sole IIM to be featured in the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements
IIMK was placed 90th in the thought leadership category of QS Masters in Management Rankings 2021.
As per the QS EMBA Rankings 2021, IIMK is on par with The University of Texas at Arlington (China Centre) and Shanghai University (China) in the Asia Pacific Region.
The PGP & EPGP of IIM Kozhikode have been accredited by the UK based Association of MBAs (AMBA) in 2010. It was then the first IIM to be accredited by AMBA.
Re-accreditation was bagged during the years 2015 and 2020.
Currently the programmes - PGP, PGP-BL, PGP-Finance, PGP-LSM, EPGP (IL Mode) & EPGP on Kochi Campus are AMBA accredited.
The EQUIS Accreditation Board voted to confer EQUIS Accreditation on IIM Kozhikode on 28th September 2021.
IIMK is the fifth IIM to receive EQUIS Accreditation and only the sixth Management Institution in the country to bag the coveted accreditation.
By acquiring EQUIS accreditation, the institute joined the ‘Double Crown’ accreditation status, which is enjoyed only by a few institutions in India.

Executive Programs
This college is one of the premier management schools that was established by the Government of India that is dedicated and devoted to nurturing future business leaders in teaching, learning, consulting, research, and innovation. The college was founded in 1996 and it is the 5th IIM of the country. The college has set up some of the most innovative initiatives that has set the bench mark for other institutions in the country. The Institute is currently on a high growth trajectory, offering the widest range of academic programmes in the field of management education and has consistently brought notable innovations to programme design and their delivery. This college is also known to be one of the change agent that transformed the higher education space in India. President APJ Abdul Kalam inaugurated the new hill-top campus of IIM Kozhikode and dedicated it to the nation in 2003, as ‘God’s own Campus’. The college started with a batch of 42 students for its flagship PGP course, has grown tremendously over the years, making it the fastest growing management school in the country. The Institute is currently in its Silver Jubilee Year of existence (1996-2021). This college is the first IIM to receive the coveted AMBA accreditation with fellow awardees such as London Business School, INSEAD, HEC Paris. In 2010, IIM Kozhikode signed an MOU with Yale University to establish a Center of Excellence for Academic Leadership as part of Singh-Obama Knowledge Initiative. The college is ranked 6th among all management institutes of the country as per NIRF 2020: Management Category ranking and has also made its debut at rank 101+ in Asia for its EMBA and PGP (MBA) programme as per the latest QS World University Rankings released in 2020.
The college has has 19 well-designed hostels that can accommodate around 1400 students. The classrooms, computer center, students canteen and all other facilities are within walking distance of the hostel. All the hostel rooms have been provided with a LAN and WIFI connection to cater to the computing needs of the students. The students are provided rooms on a single or sharing basis. The hostels have an ambience where all the needs of the students are taken care of and they feel like they are living in the homes away from their homes. In the bathrooms, there are facilities like washing machines, water dispensers and geysers. Various sports facilities which include a table tennis room, a badminton court, two basketball courts, a football field, volley ball court and a well-equipped gymnasium are available in the hostel premises. There are various recreational facilities available in the common rooms and music room.
Three canteens cater to the food requirements of the students apart from doubling up as a night canteen for the nocturnal souls. There are different restaurants and kiosks available on the campus for some culinary retreats.
Hostel bonding and other forms of interactions add to the vibrancy of the already colorful two years that one spends at IIMK. Be it late-night assignments, projects, studying for tests, or celebrating, the hostels never sleep.
