Dr Subhash University Junagadh Scholarships

The college offers different scholarships for the students. The college, trust, and the faculty believes that money should not be a hindrance in the lives of the students. Education is something that is accessible to all and hence money should not be a barrier in it.

For this reason, the college provides scholarships to the students to cut down huge amount in the tuition fee. Scholarships are given to the financially backward students and also to the meritorious students. The students are advised to check and apply for the scholarships at the time of the admission only because after that they will not be eligible for them. 

Scholarship 1

MYSY (Mukhyamantri Yuva Swalamban Yojana)

Eligibility: Student must have secured 80 or more Percentile in 12th Science and family income must be less than Rs. 6 lakh/annum.

Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 50,000/- or 50% of tuition fees whichever is less.

Freeship Card for Scheduled Caste Candidates for Post Metric Scholarship

Eligibility: Student must belong to SC or ST category and family income must be less than Rs. 2,50,000/annum.

Scholarship for SEBC/OBC Category

Eligibility: Student must belong to OBC category and family income must be less than Rs. 2,50,000/annum.

Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 50,000

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)

• Under TFW scheme, students do not have to pay tuition fee (Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 approx) in SFI.
• 5% of total seats shall be filled by TFW scheme, e.g. 60 seats then 3 seats shall be filled by TFWS.
• Students whose parent's income is less than Rs. 6 lakh/annum are eligible for TFWS.
• Admission is strictly on merit number through admission committee.
• TFW scheme shall be applicable for complete duration of the course(4 Years).
• To get the benefits of TFW Scheme, the candidate has to submit the income certificate issued after 31st March from either 'Mamlatdar' or ''Taluka Development Officer (TDO)' or 'Collector(Jan Seva Kendra)' at the time of application form filling(registration for admission).
• No other document shall be considered valid(e.g. Income tax return, Certificate issued by 'Sarpanch')

A screen opens on the website that has the ‘apply now’ form for the admission of the students. The students have to fill the form and submit it online. The college campus is a modern one having all the latest and the modern facilities. To begin with, the college has a fully wi-fi campus because internet is required by the students of today for effective learning. All the latest learning systems are something that require internet facility round the clock. The college and the faculty believes in upgrading the technologies for learning. 

The facilities offered by the college are library, cafe, transport, ATM, and the first aid. facilities. The library houses Text books, Reference Books, E-books, Print & e-journals and magazines, News papers, CD/DVD, Amazon Kindle e-reader, Course Material, Question Papers, Project Reports, Bound Volumes of Periodicals, different type of useful Video Lecture Collections, etc.

We take pride in saying that we have very good collection of resources. Added to this, we have a wide collection of general books like Gujarati & English Literature, Motivational & Self Help books, G.K. books ,all Competitive Exam related books, etc. which help to increase the knowledge of our students and Staff members in all different fields.

Breakfast & lunch facilities are provided through a centrally located canteen. The canteen serves tea, coffee, cold drinks, ice-cream, snacks, & different varieties of food throughout the day. Neatness of Canteen & Quality of Food is motto of canteen. The Institute provides transport facilities to the students Junagdh City, Jetpur and Dhoraji. Key routes are defined across the city and these routes reach the nooks and corners of Junagadh city.

The timing is scheduled in such a way that all the buses reach/leaved the College campus in time.Transportation a For the added convenience of its faculty and students, the Institute provided transportation facilities through own buses between the Institute Campus and Junagadh City. This transport service operates on a self financed, no profit – no loss basis on all working days, at fixed timings. The Bank of India (BOI) has been operating its 24x7 ATM facility in the college campus.

It provides round the clock banking services in the campus. This facility can be availed by the students and staff of the college. ATM caters to the requirements of the students and the staff, and, since it is located in the campus, it saves their precious time and effort. Money transactions such as transfer, withdrawal and saving are carried out with ease. Hostel students are able to use the ATM at any time.

There is a student store inside the college that caters to the daily need of students like Printing, Photocopy, Spiral binding, Stationary, CD/DVD, Practical manual book, File pages, Files etc. Medical facilities are available in campus. The Institution has appointed an expert Medical Officer, who visits the college regularly for the benefit of the students and the Staff. 

There are different committees inside the campus to take care of the different activities of the college. The top committees are discipline, IT Cell, cultural, physical. disability, sports, women’s development, anti ragging, grievance redressal, and lot of other cells.

Student Startups and Innovation Policy (SSIP) is a unique initiative of Government of Gujarat that aims to create an integrated, state-wide, university and institute based innovation ecosystem to support innovations and ideas of young students and provide a conducive environment for properly harnessing their creative pursuit.

Google Classrooms 

Google Classroom is a web-based platform where teachers can create online classrooms. It also allows teachers to communicate and collaborate with students and their guardians. It's a paperless and time saving. With Classroom, teachers and students can sign in from any computer or mobile device to access class assignments, course materials, and feedback. In Google Classroom teachers create assignments. They can distribute, collect, and grade it right within the platform. Through this teachers can add helpful links along with assignments. They can set up due dates using the Google Calendar integration. They can also quickly see who has or hasn't completed the work, and give direct, real-time feedback and grades. 

The college also encourages the students to take part in various sports activities and also let the students represent the college in various functions. A big playground exists for cricket and football games. Students are provided with sufficient facilities and opportunities for playing indoor and outdoor games. Students are encouraged to participate in the Inter-Collegiate Tournaments. 

Indian Society for Technical Education

The major objectives of the ISTE are:

1. Providing quality training programmes to teachers and administrators of technical institutions to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity.
2. To assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industry and other organizations.
3. Providing guidance and training to students to develop better learning skills and personality.

There are different events celebrated inside the college campus. The events are diwali celebration, Ganesh utsav, army welfare fund, Thelasamia camp, republic day, yoga celebration, sports festival, clean Junagad, blood donation, grand garba, KITE festival, and TECH AEON. 

Dr Subhash University Junagadh Hostel

The college all provides hostel or the residence facilities for the students. The college wants to help the students by avoiding the inconvenience caused to the students in daily traveling to and from the college, particularly to those residing at faraway places from the college. For this, the construction to build separate hostel for boys in the campus has been started. To provide recreation to the students residing in the campus, trustees have incorporated sports facilities such as football and cricket grounds.

Facilities of indoor games will also be provided to the students by individual colleges situated within the campus. Two separate buildings are being constructed for the students that will have 78 well furnished Rooms in total for both of genders. Excellent dining facilities 3 times a day will be there for the students inside the mess of the hostel.

The authorities have announced that proper care will be taken for preparing healthy, tasty, and nutritious meals. All of these together will be made in a state of art infrastructure style. Once the hostels will be ready, the students will be able to book them at the time of admission and the fee of the hostels will be declared only after the hostels will be ready.
