Government Engineering College, Barton Hill (GECBH) was established in 1999 by the Government of Kerala. The college is affiliated to the University of Kerala for final year B.Tech Batch and APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University for rest of the batches. The college is dedicated to imparting quality education to be a global institution through continual improvement. It is located on at Barton Hill and this land is donated by His Highness Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the last ruling Maharaja of the princely State of Travancore. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate Engineering courses in multiple disciplines.
