Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences (IHBAS) is an autonomous body which was registered under the Societies Act 1860 and funded jointly by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and Government of NCT of Delhi. The college was founded in compliance with the directives of the Hon' ble Supreme Court in response to a public interest litigation in 1993. As it is working as an autonomous body so it has its own Memorandum of Association and Rules and Regulations which is approved under the Societies Act, Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Government of NCT of Delhi.
