Sagar Institute of Research & Technology (SIRT) was established in 2003. It is located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It is an engineering college. Sagar Group of Institutions, Bhopal functions under the patronage of Shri Agrawal Technical & Education Society. It is located at Ayodhya Bypass Road, Opposite to Sagar Estates, Bhopal.
The college is affiliated to RGPV, Bhopal and is also one of the Top engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh India because of its infrastructure, academic facilities, R&D projects, rich collection of books and International Journals in the library.
The chairman of the college, Er. Sanjeev Agrawal has been awarded more than 50 awards at National level and has a reputation of owning best engineering colleges in Bhopal MP. The college has also received ISO certification: 9000-2001 in 2003, NBA Accreditation in 2009, 2014, 2016 with continuing NBA accreditation till 2021-22 and further accreditation is in process.It has also been accredited by TCS in 2010 for closed campus placements.
The vision of the college is to motivate and mould students into world class professionals who will excel in their fields and effectively meet challenges of the dynamic global scenario. Their mission is to achieve academic excellence in providing technical education by incorporating the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM), to provide state-of-art infrastructure for enhanced learning & research with IT based knowledge management to meet global challenges, and to inculcate ethical, moral, & cultural values among professionals.

Admission in engineering in MP happens through JEE or direct admission in top engineering colleges through CLC in Bhopal or CLC in MP after passing 12th class. Here, CLC stands for admission in College Level Counseling. The campus of the college is spread in an area of 20 acres & fully based on Vastu principles. The surroundings of the campus is situated between the natural landscapes of Bhopal. The aim of Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at Sagar Institute of Research and Technology (SIRT) is to develop and strengthen entrepreneurial qualities towards the students who are interested in starting their own ventures and new business.

They provide support like like planning, mentoring and time related execution support to all the aspirants for their start up ideas to convert it into real business facilities.
The EDC has work-out further to engage Sponsors like banks, State, & National entrepreneurship training agencies, private investors through pitch deck and Central Govt. Schemes benefits to the students, suppliers and market for the new products developed by entrepreneurs.

There is a strict ragging committee in the college that works against the ragging of the students. All the students have to fill the anti ragging forms and in case they are engaged in any form of ragging, they will be severely punished for the same.
