Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC), Coimbatore was established in 1997 by V.L.B Trust. The college is affiliated to Bharathiar University. SKASC is ISO 9001:2008 and TUV SUD certified autonomous body. The college is accredited Grade A by NAAC. It offers 32 Undergraduate programs, 13 Postgraduate programs and 1 Integrated program along with e-learning and m-learning facilities.
The college was established with a vision of "Fitness for Purpose”. It is an autonomous Institution that imparts Quality Education imbibing scientific and artistic knowledge to the needs of the current generation. The Learning Model of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College is "Vision to Wisdom Approach". The college follows Knowledge-based Learning, Industry-Exposure & Training and Capstone Evaluation Model that are all linked with the Outcome- based Education which enable the students to be job-ready right when they complete their degree at Sri Krishna Arts and Science College.
The college follows e-learning and m-learning facilities for the students which includes web-based learning. They also have virtual classroom and digital collaborations for the betterment of the students. Students can log on to virtual classroom (MyKlassroom) right from the day of admission at SKASC and learn their subjects 24/7. The college has got the highest number of Google Classroom users world over.

The students can apply for the courses online on the official website of the college. For this, they have to visit the official website of the college and on the home page, they have to scroll down and three boxes appear on the screen. Those boxes are for UG and PG admissions. The interested students can click on them. Once they click on these, then the students are taken to the online form. They have to fill the form, submit the documents, and submit the form.
The Library is built in an area of 30,000 sq.ft. and is built with State of art facility. The Digital library is open on all 6 days a week. There is separate reference section, T.V.rooms,Video Conferencing room, Group Study Rooms and Research Scholars Room,Career Guidance Section, Book Bank Section, Project and Back Volume Section, Own Book Reading Room and CEC section etc.

The college also provides transport facility for the students and the faculty. The college has a total of about 24 buses in their fleet. At present, the buses are being operated to more than 100 destinations to the length and breadth of Coimbatore city, thus engaging in transporting students to and from College.
Extra activities are included in the college like NSS and NCC for the students to take part in. National Service Scheme is one of the pathways to serve the society for the academic institution. It creates a platform for the students to show their talents, to enhance their knowledge, to combine the knowledge and action to achieve results for community development.
Special emphasis is given to sports so that students can take part in this sports and also have a nice life in the college days. They have sports facilities for sports like volleyball, cricket, basketball, athletics, football, table tennis, and power lifting.
