Agricultural and Food Engineering Scope

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has planned to set up ten more Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering (CIAE) with an aim to expedite the level of pre and post-agricultural mechanization. The ICAR is also mulling to establish 200 Farm Machinery Operation cum Maintenance Training Centres with an aim to empower the youth and give thrust to entrepreneurship.

Agricultural and Food Engineering Eligibility 

Students having Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Biology in their 10+2 are eligible for the entrance examinations that are conducted for admission to B.E./B.Tech programs in agricultural engineering. Students with mathematics and biology are eligible to apply for the course.

The Candidates after 12th class, must have to have a Bachelor's Degree in subjects like Life Sciences, Food Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering and Agriculture. 

NEET, JEE Advanced, GATE, MHT CET, JEECUP are some of the entrance exams that the candidates need to give to get into this course.
