About Agricultural and Irrigation Engineering Course

Agricultural and Irrigation Engineering Course 2023 This one is a is a subfield of Civil Engineering. This branch of engineering is involved in application of engineering principles in agriculture and irrigation. Agriculture and water are supposed to go hand in hand. Today, agriculture and irrigation engineering has come to acquire importance owing to the changes that are taking place due to global warming.

The programme offers an opportunity to students to learn how to design and supervise the construction of agricultural buildings and storage facilities. Budding engineers would learn about the designing of livestock structures, greenhouses, silos, and cold-storage facilities for the crops.

In this course, the students also get a chance to learn about setting up canals, designing livestock structures, storing crops, high technology equipment for irrigation,  and setting a standard for high quality products in the global market.

Irrigation engineers work on large or complicated landscape irrigation projects or else they also work in states that require construction plans to be approved by an engineer or landscape architect. Engineers analyze existing site surveys, conduct research and identify potential structural and environmental problems. This field is important as it helps to determine the future Irrigation expectations. Irrigation is often studied together with drainage, which is the natural or artificial removal of surface and sub-surface water from a given area. water is required for agriculture.
