About Automotive Engineering Course

Automotive Engineering Course 2023 is meant for those who have a passion for cars. Those taking up this course will get to learn about the application of mechanical, thermodynamic, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical principles with an aim to resolve engineering problems. During the period of their study, they will get to know as to how to design and produce visual interpretations of the automobiles and their components. They would also be involved in developing test procedures as well as conducting tests for the same.

These engineers are concerned with the development of passenger cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles or off-road vehicles. They have to design new products and also modify the existing products to the fullest. They also have to design and test the many subsystems or components that comprise a motorized vehicle. Goes without saying that it is a branch of mechanical engineering that is concerned with the design, development and manufacture of cars, trucks, motorcycles and other motor vehicles.

This course teaches the students about manufacturing, designing, mechanical mechanisms as well as operations of automobiles. This branch of engineering deals with the creation and assembling the whole parts of automobiles is also included in it. Doing this course means engaging in research -intensive and involves direct application of mathematical models and formulas. Production, development, and manufacturing are the three major functions in this field.

Automotive Engineering Scope

A large number of foreign companies such as Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Nissan, Chevrolet, BMW have set up their manufacturing units in India and are competing with each other. This has proved to be a boon for the automotive engineers. With the thrust being laid on ???Make in India???-the manufacturing sector is treading on the path of growth. Since, India is the second most populous country in the world, the demand for the automobile is increasing in the length and breadth of the country.

The demand for Automotive Engineers is expected to go up and is on the high, with an expected 34,750 new jobs filled by 2029. This represents an annual increase of 1.31 percent over the next few years. This sector is expected to grow 9 percent from 2016 to 2026. The United States has one of the largest automotive markets in the world.
