CAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates having a graduation degree with minimum 50 per cent aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45 per cent for Reserved category) can apply for CAT 2022
• Candidates who have completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) with minimum 50 per cent aggregate or equivalent (45 per cent for Reserved category)
• Candidates in their final year of graduation degree are also eligible to apply for CAT exam. Also Read: CAT Eligibility Criteria.

CAT 2022 Exam Pattern

CAT exam pattern was revised in 2021 by the IIM Ahmedabad and these changes and is expected to continue for CAT 2022. As per CAT Exam Pattern 2022, the question paper will be divided into 3 sections.

• Mode of Exam: Online CBT mode. Exam will be conducted in 438+ test centers located across 158+ major cities of India.
• Medium of CAT Exam: The exam eill be conducted in  English only.
• CAT Exam Duration: 120 minutes.
• Sectional Time Limit: 40 minutes.
• Type of Questions: MCQs and TITA-type questions
• Number of Questions: 66 questions (70-75% MCQs and 25-30% TITA-type questions)
• Number of Sections: 3 sections- Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Quantitative Aptitude (QA), and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR).
• CAT Marking Scheme: 3 marks awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark deducted for every wrong answer. No negative marking for TITA-type questions.
