Eligibility Criteria – Chennai College of Arts & Science

The eligibility criteria for undergraduate programs at Chennai College of Arts & Science are as follows:

1. Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Programs

a) B.Com - General

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Preference may be given to students from Commerce and Accountancy streams, though students from other streams may also apply.

b) B.Com - Computer Application

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Mathematics or Business Mathematics as one of the subjects.
• Students from Commerce, Science, or Computer Science backgrounds are preferred.

c) B.Com - Accounting & Finance

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Commerce and Accountancy as core subjects.
• A background in Mathematics or Economics is desirable but not mandatory.

d) B.Com - Information System Management

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Mathematics, Computer Science, or Commerce as one of the subjects.
• A background in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred.

2. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Program

BBA - Business Administration

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination in any stream.
• Students with a background in Commerce, Economics, or Business Studies will be given preference.

3. Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Program

BCA - Computer Application

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Mathematics or Computer Science as one of the subjects.
• Students from Science or Commerce streams with Mathematics are eligible.

4. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Programs

a) B.Sc - Computer Science

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Mathematics or Computer Science as a subject.
• Preference will be given to students from Science and Computer Science backgrounds.

b) B.Sc - Visual Communication

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) in any stream.
• A background in Media Studies, Fine Arts, or Communication is preferred but not mandatory.

c) B.Sc - Computer Science with Data Science

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
• Students from Science and Computer Science backgrounds are preferred.

d) B.Sc - Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Mathematics or Computer Science as a subject.
• A background in Science and Technology is desirable.
