Galgotias University (GU), Greater Noida was established in 2011 by the Smt. Shankutla Educational & Welfare Society. The criteria of selection varies from one course to another. Galgotias University has lot of courses to offer across various streams. The process followed to select students for various courses is also different for each programme.

Merit criteria
The admission is offered taking into consideration the marks obtained in the qualifying exam under this type of criteria. Candidates who have good scores in the qualifying exams will be selected. The scores in the qualifying exams must be really very impressive.
Exams
(UG)
Students applying under this criteria have to pass national level or state level popular exams to get admission into certain programmes offered by the university. The scores in JEE Mains or UPSEE are taken into consideration while providing admission into BTech.
NATA scores are taken into consideration while providing admission into BArch course. CLAT/LSAT India scores are taken into consideration for admission into graduate law courses.
(PG)
The scores of national level exams like CAT/MAT/XAT are considered while providing admission into MBA (Masters in Business Administration). The admission into law courses at postgraduation - LLM are offered taking into consideration scores in All India level exam conducted by the university.
The admission procedure of Galgotias University is very simple. It begins with registration, where candidates with the required eligibility condition can register themselves by clicking the appropriate link on the website of the university. The process of the admission is explained below in simple steps:
1. Candidates have to decide the course, they wish to apply and esnure they have the required qualification needed to apply for that programme.
2. Students have to visit the official website of the institution meant for admission and click the link for registration and create an account comprising username and password.

5. Post submission, candidates have to download the application form and take a printout and then preserve it for the future use. The application number which will be generated while submitting the form is also to be noted and preserved. This number has to be quoted during all transactions with the institutions regarding admission process.
After Submission
The applications submitted are analyzed and candidates are selected based on their performance in the qualifying exam. The provisional admission will be offered and then final admission process will be completed. Post final admission process, candidates who are selected have to pay the fees and then join the college.

If, the interest is on diploma programmes, once the webpage with url https://admissions.galgotiasuniversity.edu.in/ downloads, the button "Apply for Diploma Programmes" has to be clicked which will lead to webpage https://admissions.galgotiasuniversity.edu.in/diploma-programs and once the webpage is downloaded, the candidates can register and create an account and then start applying.
Foreign candidates can click the button "Application for International Candidates" once the webpage with url https://admissions.galgotiasuniversity.edu.in/ downloads. Soon after the button is clicked another webpage with url https://admissions.galgotiasuniversity.edu.in/international-application-form will open and when the page opens, candidates can commence registration and start filling the form.
Post Registration Process
1. Post creation of the account, they have to login and start filling the application form with details like Name of the candidate, date of birth, age, educational qualification, desired course(s) for study, address (permanent and temporary), email id, mobile number.
2A. The application form has to be attached with documents. The documents would depend on the type of the course being applied. UG course application requires - photographs of the candidates, 10th class marksheets, 12th class marksheets (suggested alternatives if marksheets are yet to be obtained), caste certificate (if applicable), PwD certificates (if applicable), sports certificates (if applicable), image of the candidate's signature.

3. The forms have to be filled with the required information and after uploading the required documents, registration fee has to be paid through online modes - credit card, debit card and net banking. Post payment of registration fee, application has to be checked for errors and corrected if any. After checking the application form for accuracy in all the details, the form can be submitted.
4. Post submission, candidates have to download the application form and take a printout and then preserve it for the future use. The application number which will be generated while submitting the form is also to be noted and preserved. This number has to be quoted during all transactions with the institutions regarding admission process.
