Overview

The genesis of IIHMR University dates to October 5, 1984, when its sponsoring body, the Indian Institute of Health Management Research, was established. In 2014, IIHMR University was established and incorporated as a postgraduate research university by the Government of Rajasthan vide the IIHMR University, Jaipur Act, 2014 (Act No. 3, of 2014).

The University has five Schools:

  • Institute of Health Management Research
  • School of Pharmaceutical Management
  • School of Development Studies
  • SD Gupta School of Public Health
  • School of Digital Health

IIHMR University has a multi-disciplinary faculty team that is extensively engaged in academics, research, training, consultancy, partnerships, and collaborations. IIHMR University offers the following postgraduate programs: MBA (Hospital and Health Management), MBA (Pharmaceutical Management), MBA (Healthcare Analytics) and MBA (Development Management). The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA, offers an MPH program in cooperation with IIHMR University, Jaipur.

IIHMR University offers an MPH (Implementation Science) program under the WHO-TDR postgraduate training scheme. IIHMR University offers Ph.D. programs in public health, health management, hospital management, digital health, and development studies. IIHMR University has significantly contributed to the Executive Development and Management Development Programs by consistently engaging in EDPs/MDPs for national and international participants. Participants from more than 40 countries benefitted from the EDPs/MDPs.   • Prior college-level mathematics courses, prior college-level biology course and any health-related course.
  • Demonstrated English proficiency to a prior degree, TOEFL or IELTS.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and verbal skills through GRE, MCAT, LSAT, or GMAT. (Applicants with degrees beyond the bachelor's degree may request a waiver of standardized test scores if they are from other sources of quantitative abilities.)

Postgraduate Courses Fee

This is about the money one has to pay to study the course in the institution. There are many aspects to it and important one is the tuition fees which is the cost incurred to study the course. Scholarship Policy for students of MBA Hospital and Health Management admitted for the academic session 2025-2027

IIHMR University, Jaipur envisages granting partial fee scholarships in the form of partial tuition fee waiver to prospective MBA students of all categories including General category based on academic merit. IIHMR University also offer full fee scholarships (100% tuition fee waiver) to students belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC- Non-Creamy layer/ EWS on combined merit. The policy/guidelines for granting scholarships are as under:


MBA Hospital and Health Management 

The Merit Scholarships will be awarded to students applying for MBA HM as per the following details on meeting any one of the given eligibility criteria and score obtained in the admission process:

For General Category Students
  • Eligibility Criteria: The Merit Scholarship will be awarded to students based on meeting any one of the following eligibility criteria and on first come first serve:
    • 55% or above aggregate marks in MBBS (OR)
    • 65% or above aggregate marks in BDS/ AYUSH/BPT (OR)
    • 80% or above aggregate marks in any other bachelor’s degree (OR)
    • 55 percentile or above in CAT/ XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/ATMA
For SC/ST/OBC-NC/EWS students
  • Eligibility Criteria: The Merit Scholarship will be awarded to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NC/EWS category and based on meeting any one of the following eligibility criteria and on first come first serve:
    • 50% or above aggregate marks in any Bachelor’s degree (OR)
    • 50 percentile or above in CAT/ XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/ATMA
Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 60,000 each student
Freeships:
  • Under freeships, full tuition fee reimbursement will be offered to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ EWS (Economically Weaker section) on need cum merit basis.
  • Total Number of Freeships available: 4 (1 seat each for SC, ST, OBC- NC and EWS)

Terms & Conditions
  • Merit Scholarships/ Freeships are not guaranteed to all the candidates fulfilling the above criteria.
  • Limited number of merit scholarships for each program (as mentioned above) will be awarded based on the above eligibility criteria and on first come first serve basis at the sole discretion of the Admission Committee of the university.
  • Limited no. of Freeships will be awarded to eligible students (as mentioned above) based on combined merit list prepared (including all rounds of GD&PI) at the time of admission.
  • The total scholarship amount will be adjusted in the last instalments. The amount of Scholarship will not be disbursed directly to the student.
  • Benefits under freeships and scholarships cannot be availed together. Students who are offered freeship will not be eligible for availing scholarship along with freeship.
  • In case of non-availability of eligible students belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NC/EWS category, the remaining no. of partial scholarships under this category will be offered to eligible students belonging to General category and vice versa.
  • In case of non-availability of eligible students belonging to SC/ST category, the remaining no. of freeships under this category will be offered to eligible students belonging to OBC-NC/ EWS and vice versa.
Other Terms and Conditions
  • The University reserves the right to add, withdraw or modify any of the criteria, amount and count for all scholarship details mentioned above at any time. Decision of the University will be final regarding award of scholarships to the deserving candidates. The Academic Department of the University will maintain the records related to the grant of scholarships.
  • Every candidate wishing to apply for the freeships shall be required to submit latest SC/ST/OBC-Non Creamy layer/EWS Certificate from a competent authority. Candidates from the SC/ST/OBC-Non Creamy layer/EWS-Non Creamy layer have to determine their eligibility for gaining scholarship as per the prevalent Rules and Regulations of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
  • The Scholarship may be discontinued at any time for any kind of misconduct by the student, like involving in the act of ragging, misbehavior etc. on the recommendations of the Head of the University.

 

MPH-JHU
Master of Public Health 2025-27

All prospective students (MBBS and Non-MBBS graduates), of the MPH Program offered by Johns Hopkins BSPH in cooperation with the IIHMR University, Jaipur will be given scholarships to support their MPH program interests.

Admission cum Academic Excellence Scholarships:
For MBBS graduates
  • This scholarship will be awarded to all MBBS students who have 55% or above aggregate marks in the overall MBBS curriculum, cleared pre-screening as well as the selection round from JHSPH, and enrolled in the Johns Hopkins BSPH-IIHMRU MPH program in the academic year when the scholarship is announced.
  • The scholarship amount-1200 USD per eligible student
For Non-MBBS graduates:
  • Total 5 scholarships will be given to non-MBBS graduates
  • Non-MBBS graduates with 60% or above aggregate marks in their primary bachelor's degree & exemplary public health experience are eligible to be considered for the award of a scholarship.
  • The scholarship amount-1200 USD per eligible student
Reimbursement of SOPHAS and Credentialing fee (Early Birds):

All students admitted to MPH program offered by Johns Hopkins BSPH-IIHMRU and submitted SOPHAS application latest by June 1, 2025 will be reimbursed the amount as per the following details on submission of receipt or any other valid evidence:

  • SOPHAS fee (Mandatory): 150 $
  • Credentialing fee (Mandatory): 240- 320 $, subject to time line for getting the score. (1 month, 15 days or week)
Travel Scholarship for Course work (All Students):
  • All students admitted to MPH program offered by Johns Hopkins BSPH-IIHMRU will be provided a travel scholarship to attend Summer Institute for course work (10-15 days) at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH), Baltimore, USA.
  • This includes International and local travel expenses for Jaipur-Baltimore- Jaipur trip and lodging arrangements in the USA during the course work

 

 

 

The eligibility criteria depend upon the type of course the candidate is willing to apply at the institution. Those aspiring for graduation must have passed plus two from a recognized educational institution anywhere in India. Aspirants for postgraduate courses have to pass graduation in the relevant discipline from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India. More information is provided below for the sake of the students:

MBA in Hospital and Health Management, Pharmaceutical Management, Development Management, Healthcare Analytics, Master of Public Health

  • A Graduate from any discipline with 50% or above [45% or above for SC/ST/OBC/ EWS/ PwD] aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Candidates in the final year of the bachelor's degree may also apply. If they would furnish evidence of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September'2024
  • For candidates who do not have CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/CUET-PG scores but wish to apply for MBA Programs, IIHMR University will conduct IIHMRU-MAT and GD-PI.

Master of Public Health (Offered by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA in cooperation with IIHMR University )

 

Interested individuals from India and South-east Asian Region must have:

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of two years of experience (full time) related to health besides the Bachelor's/ Master's degree. (Work experience is waived for Ph.D. and M.B.B.S. graduates)
  • Prior college-level mathematics courses, prior college-level biology course and any health-related course.
  • Demonstrated English proficiency to a prior degree, TOEFL or IELTS.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and verbal skills through GRE, MCAT, LSAT, or GMAT. (Applicants with degrees beyond the bachelor's degree may request a waiver of standardized test scores if they are from other sources of quantitative abilities.)
