The college is fully affiliated to University of Madras and Anna University, and duly recognized by AICTE, and MHRD, Govt. of India; for its valuable programs at different levels and durations. Established in the year 1964, the Institute has marked itself to train the teachers from Polytechnics and Engineering field institutions of Southern part of Indian subcontinent comprising the 4 States, viz. Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamilnadu and the Union Territory of Pudducherry. The college provides short time quality courses in engineering fields as well as M.Tech and Ph.D. programs.
