Patna University (PU) is one of the prestigious universities in India located in Patna, Bihar. It is the first university in Bihar, was established in the year 1917 during the British Empire and now fully approved by UGC. It is the 7th oldest universities in the Indian subcontinent. The university offers a variety of UG, PG and Doctoral Courses. Candidates can also opt for distance education for various courses. The University has a sprawling campus spread in the area of 180 acres, stretching over a distance of 10 km, extending from the Patna Women’s College to the Patna Law College and is situated on the bank of the river Ganga. There are thirteen colleges under the jurisdiction of Patna University, out of which 3 are girls and 8 are co-educational Institutions. Patna University Admission is done through entrance exams namely - BLET, MEET, and MLET.
