Thakur College of Science and Commerce was founded in order to cater needs of the students who passed the SSC exam from schools. It had started with an initial strength of only 56 students in the commerce division in 1992. After that, there was no looking back, they have witnessed a spectacular growth over these years and now, after lots of focus and dedication, Thakur Junior College can now accommodate over 5000 students. The huge success of the junior college and the immense confidence reposed by the students and their parents, the Degree section was established in 1997. The college is inspired and is a visionary, which visions itself as a leading educational institution that provides world class education in emerging, diverse disciplines. It also hopes to contribute to the socio- economic development of the nation by grooming students into conscientious, disciplined and professional individuals.
