Eligibility for AIFD WAT 2022

Educational qualification

Applicants must have passeed plus-two in any stream from a recognised institution in India with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. Candidates passing through the distance education system or privately through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) can also apply, however, they must have the same combination of subjects in standard 10+1 and 10+2.

Other requirements

Apart from having the above mentioned educational qualifications, applicants must also be children of serving Army personnel or children of eligible ex-Army personnel or children of war widows or widows to apply. Even these candidates also can apply and details are mentioned below:

  1. Children of Army personnel who is adopted for a minimum of five years before applying for admission at AIFD
  2. Stepchild provided that he/she is born from a marriage where at least one parent, who is otherwise eligible, belonged to the Army Children of APS/MNS/TA Personnel
  3. Children of serving Army personnel who serve at least ten years of continuous as an army.

  4. Children of ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension or disability pension, family pension during the of their demise, discharge, superannuation, release medical board/invalided medical board.

Exam pattern for AIFD WAT 2022

The exam will take place online and the questions will be in objective type. There will also be questions related to creativity, innovation, designing where candidates have to make drawings or show creative work on any given topic. The duration to answer questions is three hours and there is no negative marking. More information about the exam pattern is provided below for the sake of the candidates in a tabular format:
