Topics to be studied while preparing for BLAT 2022 are related to Legal Aptitude & Legal Reasoning, General knowledge & Current Affairs, Logical & Analytical Reasoning, English and Basic Mathematics. The syllabus is being provided below for the sake of the candidates:
Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning
Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning will test the candidate's interest in the study of Law, Legal aptitude, and problem-solving ability. Question will be framed with the help of a legal proposition and a set of facts to which the said prepositions have to be applied.
Candidates will be given a situation which would be tricky and they have to workout solutions. They should also be able to support their answers with valid reasons.
General knowledge and Current Affairs
The questions in this section will be related to General knowledge and Current Affairs include topics such as History (Ancient, Medieval, and Modern), Geography, General Science, Economics, Civics and the Current Affairs of the past one year. The subject is to assess the knowledge of the recent happenings and awareness of the world. Candidates must also try to study about any recent developments with regards to law, courts as questions regarding them also may be asked in the test.
Logical and Analytical Reasoning
Logical and Analytical Reasoning section of the BLAT Exam will analyze the candidate’s ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It will include wide analogies, completing arguments, drawing well-supported conclusions, reasoning by analogy, applying principles or rules.
Further, the subject is to measure the ability to understand the structure, relationship and to draw logical conclusions about the structures. It includes reasoning deductively from the set of the statement and rules or principles that describe the relationship among persons, things, or events.
English
This section will comprise questions related to english language skills. Filling the missing words in sentences, Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, analogies etc.) Proficiency (Idioms and Phrases, one-word substitution, Sentence Improvement and rearrangement). Also comprehension questions where passages have to be read and questions related to that have to be answered.
