Eligibility criteria for DCECE 2022

The condition of the eligibility would depend upon the course the candidates wants to apply through this exam. Candidates who wish to study engineering can apply through PE or PPE. Candidates interested in courses related to dental can apply through PMD route and those interested in para medical courses can apply through PM route.

The routes are - Polytechnic Engineer (PE), Part Time Polytechnic Engineer (PPE), Para Medical Dental (PMD) and Para Medical (PM). More information is provided below for the sake of the students:

PE

Candidates must have passed 10th or equivalent examination from any recognized board with Mathematics,  Science as mandatory subjects to be eligible for examination. There is no prescribed age limit for the engineering courses. 

PPE

Candidates must have passed 10th examination with ITI Certificate from any recognized institution. Candidates must be at least 19 Years old. 

PMD (Matric Level)

Applying candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination with PCB and English subjects from any recognized educational institution. Candidate’s age must be within 15 years to 30 years.

PM (Intermediate Level)

Candidates must have passed 10+2 Intermediate or equivalent examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as mandatory subjects. Candidate’s age must fall between 17 years to 32 years.

Exam pattern of DCECE 2022

The exam will be conducted in offline mode and the answers have to be recorded on a separate answer sheet provided to the candidates at the test centres. The duration to answer questions is 2 hours 15 minutes. The type of questions will be multiple choice where each question will have more than one reply option and the right one among that has to be chosen to get correct marks.

The questions will be asked mainly from General Science subjects (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/Maths), Hindi, General Knowledge, Arithmetic, and English. Candidates must check the marks allotted for each section and the number of questions asked from each subject. More information is available in table provided below for the sake of the students. They can refer it for additional details:
