CBSE UGC NET 2022 or UGC NET 2022 National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts UGC NET exam and individuals wishing to take up research or assistant professorship in colleges or universities located across India can write this exam. The full name of this exam is known as University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET). Central Board of Secondary Education used to conduct this exam in the past, however, the responsibility of conducting this exam has shifted to NTA.
NTA has been conducting this exam since December 2018. The notification is issued on the official website of NTA at the appropriate time and applications can be submitted for the exam after the notification is out. The test takes place in online mode and has two papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2.
The two papers have to be passed with required score (minimum marks needed to pass the exam and become eligible for applying for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Assistant Professorship). Applicants who wish to pursue research or apply for assistant professorship subjects related to arts and humanities like History, Political Science, Psychology can focus on applying for this exam. The subjects for which one can apply for research or assistant professorship though UGC NET is available on the official website of UGC.
